thanks foxy [bgrin] My ds who is 4 has had to learn "the Sair Finger" for nursery class tomorrow so that got us inspired! Its very cute listening to him suddenly speaking with a scottish accent [bsmile]
We were here for Hogmanay and are in Edinburgh so it wasn't so bad - great fireworks and we loved the torchlight procession the day before. But we have moved from somewhere that was relatively boring in comparison [bgrin]

the word skelf has produced a frisson of confusion in our house in that I would call it a splinter being from the far south, my dh calls is a spelk being from the north east and now here is a new variation further north. We can't agree on how to refer to one between us! [bgrin]
