To have become addicted to mumsnet

Bearcat · 22/01/2011 21:59

My husband says he's gonna divorce me and cite mumsnet as the reason ( I think he's joking)
He bought me an ipad for Christmas, which means I can sit on a comfy chair in front of the telly rather than have to sit in the chilly hall next to the computer surfing away on mumsnet!

threefeethighandrising · 22/01/2011 22:01

Yup, it's a tad addictive! Grin

SecretNutellaFix · 22/01/2011 22:04

It's all his fault then, so he would have to name himself as the cause of the break upGrin

reelingintheyears · 22/01/2011 22:04

DP gets really cross if i sit up too late on here.
I have to make a concerted effort to have whole nights off.Sad

mutznutz · 22/01/2011 22:06

Good point Secret...OP, take him for every penny you can! Grin

tholeon · 22/01/2011 22:11

MsKLo · 22/01/2011 22:14

sarahitaly · 22/01/2011 22:25

sarahitaly, that is brilliant!

.... and I must admit that I had to make an effort to go and tell DH before replying! Blush

KittaKatta · 22/01/2011 22:49

Hello my name is KittaKatta and I am an addict.
It has been 5 seconds since I last checked AIBU

sarahitaly · 22/01/2011 22:53

Less brilliant that 3 friends independently sent it to me going "ha ha ha , it's YOU !!!" Blush

Shakirasma · 22/01/2011 22:53

I am doing my own head in, not to mention DHs.

I only discovered it because someone posted at link on a completely unrelated forum, an ebay spin off.

That was a few weeks ago and I haven't been back on said forum since! I just haven't the time now I'm here. So many threads so little time!

plupervert · 22/01/2011 23:00

My excuse for getting addicted was that DH was working away. Mind you, that was in the first half of 2009, so my excuse is wearing a bit thin unless this is actually proper addition. Shock

plupervert · 22/01/2011 23:03

Or my only life...

BitOfFun · 22/01/2011 23:08

It's got you an I-pad...that's a result Grin

BaronessBomburst · 22/01/2011 23:08

I've instructed DH never to go to bed and leave me on MN. He regularly does and I creep into bed at 2 am and insist it was just after midnight. Blush

sarahitaly · 22/01/2011 23:21

"I creep into bed at 2 am and insist it was just after midnight."

Oh I have a trick for that ...make sure you alter the time on your mobile BEFORE you go up and indignantly shove it at him showing 00.10 (instead of the slightly more accurate 2.30) when he mutters "iz bollix iz da midnight".

And blame his snoring for all the yawning in the morning.

mutznutz · 22/01/2011 23:25

Shock Shock Shock me too! We must know each other Grin

BaronessBomburst · 22/01/2011 23:28

LOL

Only he'd check the internet history, and by then I'm too knackered to clean it up.

YourCallIsImportant · 22/01/2011 23:30

Sarah, I do exactly the same thing!!

Stagger upstairs at about 1.30 and tell him next day that I stayed up to watch the midnight news.

KalokiMallow · 22/01/2011 23:30

DH is always telling me off for getting involved with MN and forgetting to eat/sleep.

He laughed at that sarahitaly and is also threatening to print it off Blush

tethersend · 22/01/2011 23:32

Can someone tell me how I got here? I can't remember.

What year is this?

plupervert · 22/01/2011 23:35

tethersend, dear, it's just a dream. You will wake up and be 20 again.

BaronessBomburst · 22/01/2011 23:35

1950 apparently.
