Hot drinks at soft play?

There is only one soft play centre near us.
I am surprised to see hot drinks carried by staff in among the mob romping children.
Do other soft play centres do this too?
My daughter wasn't allowed a hot meal on the maternity ward in case it was spilt on a baby

all the ones I've been in have hot drinks, but I would really prefer wine. Though too much wine would probably make it too tempting to screech 'I'm not here to play with YOUR fucking kids, YOU get of your arse and come push this stupid merry-go-round thing!'

In my defense, I was trapped for a good half hour with this little girl who begged to 'go round' and said 'please...' so pathetically. My arm felt like it was going to fall off!

Can you suggest to them that they do something about their layout?

Softplay without a cafe is like, well, a pub with no beer. The one I used to go to provided toast, coffee, squash and a biscuit in the entry price, it was the highlight of my week with 2 under-3's.

Isn't the whole point that it's so padded/caged in that parents can actually relax for a few minutes with a coffee while the children are in an accident-proof environment?

you can have hot drinks at ours i think.

doha... i used to work at a soft play place when i was at college (now that is hell esp with a hangover!) and they do get cleaned from time to time, but if i tell you what we found in them you would probably dislike them even more!

Ah so that's why I got a friggin sandwich after 9 hours of labour in case I spilt it on the baby Hmm
A hot meal wouldn't have touched the blooming sides certainly wouldn't have wasted it by spilling it.

I went to a 'soft play' centre in portsmouth once,it was open to adults in the evening and you could bring copious amounts of alcohol.

Sounded fun.

you'd be lucky to burn anyone with the coffee they serve at our one, tepid, weak stuff.

definitely up for wine or better yet irish coffees.
