Why don't we have a wager on who's going out tonight? First poster in the thread to guess right wins (and you are not allowed to say more than one name, OKAAY?).

The lucky winner will be presented with a holiday for one in Blackpool*.

I'll give you all a shout again before it starts. Unless I forget. In which case apologies in advance.

*Travel, expenses, food and accomodation not included. Winners may exchange prize for either a signed copy of Christopher Biggins' autobiography or the actual bra worn by Ann Widdicombe on Strictly last Saturday.

Late to this thread, but I think the format of the Apprentice is looking a bit tired this year.

Also, Karren Brady's comments about providing an example to young women in business - heaven help anyone who looks for role models in Apprentice candidates.

RockBat · 14/10/2010 17:18

Oh I know there's a difference between the local Flying Horse and Boots but my first instinct when the Boots woman said that was 'no don't!', then I thought 'what the hell, it's Boots ffs, risk it!'

But then I'm not God's gift to businesswomen...

southeastastra · 14/10/2010 17:21

i don't usually watch the apprentice, certain won't bother again if last night's is anything to go by, complete wank

and lord sugar lmao

Of the final three not too surprised Joy went. AS has previously really gone for the quiet ones. He doesn't like passengers or team players who get their heads down. Wants to see leadership - or complete lack of, then he fires them.

But leader woman got a bollocking. She's next,

Dandy - course it's nothing to do with ratings, this is the BBC!

All the blue-eyed candidates have REALLY blue eyes. Is it because they're on the verge of tears and the redness enhances it???

Have been on S&B far too much and am off to find some eyeliner like Laura's.

The blue eyes was explained in last week's thread- it is to do with post-production colouring. Apparently the visuals for The Apprentice need a very blue hue, so blue eyes tend to get exaggerated.

UnquietDad · 15/10/2010 10:31

I was surprised he didn't tell Joy to stay in and be Project Manager for next week. That's what he usually does with those who have kept in the background.

larrygrylls · 15/10/2010 10:36

I suspect A.S makes very few of the "firing" decisions. He probably knows after seeing them for a few hours 3 or 4 who are "possibles". Then, it is probably up to TV executives to make the rest of the decisions so that it is good TV. They always keep one or two really unpleasant ones to near the end.

proudnscary · 15/10/2010 10:57

I'm with UQD on this. Being a tres important boss meself, I'd have fired Laura's arse in a nanosecond and made sure Joy proved herself the following week or she'd go the same way.

I hate to be cynical but he fired the least attractive woman.
