I must admit I did have a bit of a chuckle Grin.

But I just thought it was a really odd song choice to be playing in a toy store? Confused

Lol, that is odd. Did you sing along?

DirtyMartini · 01/10/2010 16:27

PMSL -- Yes, it's a bad choice. God I wish I could remember what the really inappropriate song was I heard in Baby Gap the other day ... what was it?

Oh yeah, ok, it wasn't as bad as yours actually. It was just weird in context. It was "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson. I was fingering tiny bodysuits and humming "but the KID is not my son..."

prozacfairy · 01/10/2010 16:28

YANBU. Very weird. I work in retail and they have no end of questionable shit music belting out the speakers. Much of it seems incredibly inappropriate.

cyb · 01/10/2010 16:32

Tee Hee. thats made me laugh

Get up get up get up get up lets make love tonight

GetOrfMeLenin · 01/10/2010 16:38

At least it wasn't Je T'aime by Serge Gainsbourg.

2shoes · 01/10/2010 16:41

being it toys r us is wrong

PURPLESWAN · 01/10/2010 16:41

How on earth did you hear it over the nutcracker suite music they insist on playing - drives me mad

cyb · 01/10/2010 16:43

Or 'I like Big Butts and I cannot lie'

mitfordsisters · 01/10/2010 16:46

YANBU, but like 2shoes says, Toys R Us is wrong on soooo many levels

AnyFucker · 01/10/2010 16:47

I think they should be playing 50 Cent
or Eminem

daftpunk · 01/10/2010 16:51

it could have been a lot worse..

..lil wayne's - lollipop for example ....

4andnotout · 01/10/2010 16:52

Or perhaps "Smack my bitch up"

2madboys · 01/10/2010 16:52

I had to smile when I heard Sexual Healing playing in the waiting room of our campus Doctors when I was a student. Smile

AnyFucker · 01/10/2010 16:52

"Candy Shop", 50 Cent, album version

perfect

daftpunk · 01/10/2010 16:53

moominmarvellous · 01/10/2010 16:54

Sexual Healing is a bad choice anywhere - it's so pervy.

ManiPedi · 01/10/2010 16:55

Cyb - you have just bollocksed up my Friday night, I am now singing

I...like...big BUTTS and I cannot lie,
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist

etc etc for 8 hours (with accompaying arse shimmy)

sethstarkaddersmum · 01/10/2010 16:58

Hit me baby one more time
(that would be easy to explain to dd... her baby brother often waves his arms round wildly and hits people)

Barbie Girl - oh they probably play that one all the time.

ruddynorah · 01/10/2010 16:59

At my friend's Ds's christening the dj..yes dj...played 'take a dirty picture' by kesha and that bloke. The kids seemed to like it..

sethstarkaddersmum · 01/10/2010 16:59

Little Red Corvette for when toy cars are on special offer

FindingMyMojo · 01/10/2010 17:07

"Here's one for all the hot Mama's out therrrre in toyland ........."

GetOrfMeLenin · 01/10/2010 17:36

I bloody HATE that dirt picture song

giveitago · 01/10/2010 18:01

Our school doesn't have competative sport on sports day but I noticed they had a group of 7 year olds gyrating to ga ga's ' I'll get you high show you what I've got' by way of a display of sports.

Sign of the times.

DomesticG0ddess · 01/10/2010 18:07

I don't think Sexual Healing's really bad in a toy shop - not compared to today's songs. It's all "lets make love", etc.

Mind you, DS (3) is addicted to the new Scissor Sisters album in the car. It's quite rude, but I figured at 3 I can get away with it, and Jake Shearer's sings pretty quickly.
