In thinking that playing "Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye in Toys R Us is a bit wrong?

I must admit I did have a bit of a chuckle .

But I just thought it was a really odd song choice to be playing in a toy store?

there is a play area for toddlers/preschoolers that my kids have been to a couple of times, where they play music in the background and occasionally get active and encourage kids to dance along. A lot of it is stuff like the Birdie Song [will that never die??]. However the one that slightly stuns me, having heard it more than once, is that one that goes on about

'and we were both buck naked
banging on the bathroom floor'. Etc.

How on earth is that appropriate?

YANBU but it's probably stock music that every store gets sent. I used to work in retail and the shit we had to listen to on rotation was horrific.

I used to work in retail too taintedpaint - I remember monotony of the tapes on repeat!

I just wonder who at head office chose Sexual Healing for a kids shop though? I know it's not that bad compared to some, but I'm sure there are a million more apt songs than that!

yes, well I was with the DC the other day in HMV and the song playing - don't know the name or the group, but its been running thru my head ever since and the refrain was 'you don't make me scream' fair enough kids wouldn't necesarily pick up on that, but it was explicit what it was about, and she was 'giving head for an hour' - I was cringing wondering if the DC ( 12 & 10) would ask me what 'giving head ' was... luckily they were, apparently, immersed in looing at new ps3 games, and oblivious...
