I definitely would.

Maybe twice.

He's not gay - at least he has talked in interviews about having a girlfriend and wanting a wife and kids.

But he is rather addictive - should come with a warning!

Love the Spooks characters on Twitter - I'm following most of them, but especially @Lucas_North - is that sad?

jmarm · 01/10/2010 09:53

I am logging on to follow Lucas North on Twitter now.
We are not sad at all. Oh no.

ShrinkingViolet · 01/10/2010 09:55

I got very excited when Lucas started following me back - think that's even more sad Wink.

Doodleydoo · 01/10/2010 10:27

OMG you can follow them on twitter? I am joining right now..........

Catspersonalbanker · 01/10/2010 12:19

And DH thinks I liked Robin Hood because it was romantic!! Wink and Spooks 'cos its a crime thriller Grin.

Not so sure about him in the Vicar of Dibley though

cupcakesandbunting · 01/10/2010 12:35

I liked him in the Vicar of Dibley. As well as showcasing his beautiful boatrace, he showed what a talented actor he was by pretending that he wanted to boff Dawn French.

Oh cupcakes, do you think we could have a sort of time share arrangement with him? Have been smiling a lot with a faraway look in my eye since reading this thread. AND that clip of him tied to a tree in his leathers made me titter uncontrollably. God its good to have a crush - makes me feel so young!!

cornishpasty · 01/10/2010 14:17

You all need to pop in to the armitage army forum!!! Loads of ladies like yourselves and plenty of photos.

The man is addictive.

I've never had a crush on anyone before him.

MrsLucasNorth · 01/10/2010 14:31

I have been doing other things today! But this is great if you're a Spooks fan - the editing is brilliant.

Bimbledorf · 01/10/2010 20:17

don't you think he's make a good James Bond??

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 02/10/2010 16:18

not sure about James Bod- which is tongue in cheek, and RA a bit intense, have never seen him in comedy. But...could see him as Jack Reacher from Lee Child books...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 02/10/2010 20:07

I am now in the marital doghouse for having bought all of Robin Hood on dvd. I have told dh that I dd will enjoy it and it will be Wholesome Family Entertainment.

Doodleydoo · 02/10/2010 20:21

Did you see him in

that man and sweat and a bit sand - wooo also the dh quite likes it because of guns. He is truly yummy

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 02/10/2010 20:51

No, I always avoid anything depicting modern warfare because, err well, just because.

I joined this thread because I've watched Spooks since the first episode and thought it was going to be an insightful psychological analysis of Lucas North who is obviously a Deeply Troubled Character. Instead I found it was an oglefest. Some of those Youtube compilations have been a revelation. Wink

SiriusStar · 02/10/2010 22:49

Doodleydoo- Now how do I get to watch this without my dh getting suspicious that I have bought North and South, started watching Spooks and then bought some random dvd called Strike Back?
I think he might notice a pattern.

Doodleydoo · 02/10/2010 23:00

Actually a fair amount of female totty in Strike Back if I remember! Perhaps you could sell it on the women - he looks so different in them all!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 02/10/2010 23:06

Or you could hide them away as your secret stash, to watch while ironing. I know many on MN scoff at the very idea of ironing, but it's a good opportunity to watch Hollywood musicals and period costume romps.

brooke73 · 02/10/2010 23:35

Hi, joining this thread as I am deeply in love with RA, since I saw him in Dibley.Found this thread afew days ago, and youtube has been a revelation, where the hell was I when robin hood was on????! I never realised I was missing a major swoon fest.I've since started logging onto youtube at opportune moments (like when dh is bathing dcs). What is a plausible excuse to buy the Robin Hood box set??? Do we know if there are any more series of Robin Hood coming out??? It is RA at his most sexy yet...(deep sigh).

Hermya321 · 03/10/2010 12:57

Am rewatching North and South.

'I don't want to possess you, I wish to marry you because I love you!'

That girl was an idiot to refuse him.

MrsLucasNorth · 03/10/2010 13:14

brooke - no more Robin Hood and Guy was killed off at some point (don't know when as have only seen the You Tube stuff myself)

I have found they have several DVD's of it inmy local library and since DD is studying the middle ages at the moment....Wink

BTW from what I can gather - it's kitchen table time in Spooks tomorrow night - and it definitely doesn't involve croissants!!!

tiredandgrumpy · 03/10/2010 13:40

Got carried away by this thread last night and downloaded one of his audiobooks. Don't really recommend it as Richard putting on female voices is a bit of a let down. Not quite as lust-worthy as those YouTube clips

Meow75 · 03/10/2010 13:52

Tiredandgrumpy, which audiobook did you download. I am loving mine. Nearly finished Venetia by Georgette Heyer, and Sylvester is waiting patiently in the wings.

I don't mind him trying to do female voices. Still got the same face that I imagine at every opportunity!!!!

To further my new found interest I got North & South on DVD yesterday, about 4 quid from HMV, AND I also got Strike Back cause they had it in stock. Seemed a shame to leave it there!!! And DH is in the military, so doesn't mind that sort of stuff even if there isn't any girlie eye candy for him. Win win in Meow's house!!

tiredandgrumpy · 03/10/2010 14:02

I got Sylvester. Loved the idea of his voice in my head, the silly female voices really spoilt it.

brooke73 · 03/10/2010 14:56

RA on the kitchen table!!!!!!!!!! I finally feel the license fee is being put to good use Smile. Let's hope he's got his kit off.

Saltire · 03/10/2010 15:01

RA on the kitchen table . Shall have to get a box of tissues and armbands at the ready
