I definitely would.

Maybe twice.

Arggh, sorry, cross posted. Thanks for the new link Flowers

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/10/2010 14:17

Oh my golly gosh, Flowers, you shouldn't have done that to me of a Sunday lunchtime. A cruise missile detonated under the kitchen table and the brussel sprouts are in orbit Grin

So how was it for you? No real BBT ,eh, just a mere whiff a couple of times.

And now I have to act normal all afternoon. Gah...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 24/10/2010 14:41

Sorry, theresaholeinyourmind, I thought it might bring joy to your afternoon.

How was it for me? Well, as I have said many times before, my heart truly belongs to Mr Thornton, who does Angry Passion and wears a cravat with such panache. But I do understand that the worldweariness and sardonic expression which comes with having lived an eventful life for 850 years might have a certain, ahem, effect on a laydee.

And would you really send him to the naughty step for saying knickers? I rather got the impression that some people around here wanted him to say beg fetch rather more than that.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/10/2010 15:03

Don't apologise, Flowers, it was a very nice cruise missile. It's just difficult to stop my knees wobbling as I go about my lawful Sunday afternoon business, that's all.

First time in my life I've felt envious of a horse. Gah.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/10/2010 15:21

Do have some buttered crumpet too...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 24/10/2010 15:24

Crumpet? Is that supposed to be a double entendre?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/10/2010 15:28

Moi? Jamais!
I thought it was a traditional northern delicacy, best partaken of hot.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 24/10/2010 15:43

Well, in that case I'll have a crumpet [you need to put the little circumflex hats around each word you want to italicise] that's hot, juicy and dripping with honey and molten butter. Thank you.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/10/2010 15:56

I'm a little Mrs Beeton, here, Flowers, as in ''first find your circumflex hats''

Little gift for John's library here, meanwhile.

Hotpot for tea then, is it?

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 24/10/2010 16:05

Ah, dear dear Isabella Beeton. She's my kinda girl. The ^ is on the 6 key.

So, plenty of time for reading the Quality Press then? Seems to me that the recommendation to ladies to seek out a man "who flirts with them but is not in their control" is only likely to add to Guy's legion of swooning inamoratas.

40deniertights · 24/10/2010 18:31

Blimey...you disappear for two days and things heat up! Lobster swans in, claims him and vanishes, and I've got a month worth of clips to get through.
Anyway, fellow culture vultures, had a fabulous dream last night and, hate to break it to you, but he chose ME!

MrsLucasNorth · 24/10/2010 19:07

I cannot believe that all these weeks of lusting cultural debate have not resulted in a single saucy dream in the North household. Clearly a case of 'must try harder'!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/10/2010 19:27

Ah but which he, 4DT? That is the question?

Meanwhile here is one of mine...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 24/10/2010 20:45

Here's another lush one for you, theresaholeinyourmind.

40deniertights · 25/10/2010 07:50

Well, think it was the "real" he. I think we were both in a sort of army type programme. It was complicated but lovely!!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/10/2010 12:37

Belated thanks for that treat, Flowers. No prizes for guessing what he would have been saying, had there been speech balloons, the cad....

I did fear my own bliaut was a bit too Medieval Rose Princess Barbie, but I thought the chain mail was a big improvement on the baked bean tins. Your plate armour was straight from Armani.

I have been having a very nice break from chores, watching Spooks 7. I would be enjoying it even without the, ahem, decorative elements. I always wanted to be a spy. Question for all you Lucas experts. Is season 8 worth sending for?

40 DT, even boot camp sounds okay, under such circumstances. Way to go!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 25/10/2010 13:38

Bliaut. Well there's an addition to my vocabulary. I always said this thread was deeply educational. Here's another example of designer armour, with the promise of a little courtly love action too.

40deniertights - I think you may be the only one laying claim to his soldierly persona. By the left quick march!

We're going out for some half-term fun, but will be back home in plenty of time for Spooks. I think, theresaholeinyourmind, Season 8 is worth sending for because, as you say, even without the aesthetic pleasures, they are ripping (if sometimes preposterous) yarns.

MrsLucasNorth · 25/10/2010 14:31

There's also a fair bit of shagging!

40deniertights · 25/10/2010 14:42

Thank goodness there are so many different personas (personae?) to go around. Is there one per poster?

ShrinkingViolet · 25/10/2010 14:52

Series 8 has Ros being fabulous as well (I'm realy missing her now, even thoug I couldn't stand her in previous serieses.) Her pissed off "FFS" when she got splattered in gore from the shot bloke was probably the best bit in S8.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/10/2010 15:05

Season 8 duly ordered. Did anyone think I wouldn't?

MrsLucasNorth · 25/10/2010 15:09

On the subject of dvd's has anyone seen 'Sparkhouse' and is it worth a watch?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/10/2010 15:38

Only on Youtube, Mrs LN. I was going to ask what else, myself, after Spooks 8
40deniertights, it would be greedy to take two, I suppose. If only human.

MrsLucasNorth · 25/10/2010 20:13

Have just done a search for scenes of 'Sparkhouse' on YouTube that's the one where he has the v. dodgy hair - not sure even I can bring myself to watch that!
