Petition for piriton syrup in sachets!

MsCRobinson · 24/02/2010 14:00

I have created a petition to lobby GlaxoSmithKline to produce Piriton syrup in 5 ml sachets. Despite numerous appeals over many years from individuals and anaphylaxis.org.uk, their responses such as 'there isn't the demand' to 'we may consider it if enough people ask' are wearing thin.
If you would like to see piriton in sachets plz sign the petition which I will be sending to them once we have lots and LOTS of signatures.
Many Thanks.

Pass on to as many as possible.

i always carry piriton and don/t feel the need for sachets... DS always needs more than 5ml, esp if having a bad reaction, so i don't feel having a bottle in my bag is an issue. tearing open a sachet and getting it into the mouth seems more difficult to me than using a medd syringe to squirt it in quickly

but good luck ! horses for courses, isnt it?

BlueBumedFly · 28/02/2010 12:15

MsC - I have found a way to have this raised and shown to the UK regs division of said company, you never know, it might help raise the profile of the matter if raised by an internal source.

Peitition signed and forwarded.

Great idea.

Lulumama, do you think sachets of piriton might be useful when the dcs are older and out and about on their own?

I can't see a teenager wanting to carry around a bottle of piriton when they could just slip a few sachets into their wallet/pocket.

cedar12 · 03/03/2010 18:32

great idea

FourLittleDucks · 03/03/2010 18:44

Done x2 Great idea

BlueBumedFly · 03/03/2010 20:48

Mrs C R - how do I do that? Can I talk off board as I don't want to expand too much here. Thanks

carrieboo75 · 03/03/2010 21:05

Piriton is so sticky that if you keep a bottle and spoon/syringe in your bag you have to wash the spoon/syringe after use and you have to regularly have to rinse off the bottle so it does not get all fluffy. You would just bin the sachet after use and so no stickyness in your bag .
