Does this sound like an allergy or just bad choice of food?

ds had a jar of 'mum's own' dinner for 4 months earlier on today. It was apricot, butternut squash and chicken risotto. A little while after he sicked some up. Then he had really bad diahorrea(sp) then he twice sicked a load of it up and has generally been miserable. He's just had another dirty nappy which was watery but not as much as before. Would this be something in the food or just that it could have been a bit rich for him?

might be a bug but if it is bugs can cause temporary lactose intolerance in children. If there's no history of allergic problems in your family then I wouldn't try and keep them dairy free as you'd have to keep them off most formula too. You could try some live yoghurt as that helps a lot of digestive problems.
