Really good soft drinks that feel like a treat...

I know this has been done over and over but I've never really found an answer. Looking for something non alcoholic, which is delicious and sippable. Lemonade etc is nice but I'll just glug it down! There are so many expensive non alcoholic drinks out there now but I'd like to know they tasted OK before I invested in them instead of a bottle of Schweppes!
Looking for something with a little bit of bite and dryness I think. Something healthier than pinot grigio!
Sorry if this has been done over and over, I'm just looking for that 'thing'.

If you like aperol then nozeco spritz is nice. Not excessively sweet like nozeco, tastes just like aperol spritz.

KateShugakIsALegend · 10/06/2025 17:56

Hip pop

rubyslippers · 10/06/2025 17:58

I actually really like tonic water with lime
add some berries to it and it feels sippable

schloer red grape is nice over ice

AnotherVice · 10/06/2025 18:01

I also like tonic with grapefruit and ice, I barely miss the gin! My other go to is nonsecco with damson syrup or similar, although it’s a bit Christmassy!

DelphiniumBlue · 10/06/2025 18:03

I like cans of Trip, and then anything with elderflower and mint and lots of ice - could be something fizzy in a can, or a cordial mixed with sparkling water. Also Cawston's cans - there's a rhubarb one which I love, but I think there's a variety, and they're all nice.

KnickerFolder · 10/06/2025 18:04

The Italian non alcoholic aperitivo drinks are great if you like bitters and dry drinks, like Aperol or Campari eg Sanbittèr, Crodino, Chinotto etc

Icedcaramelfrappe · 10/06/2025 18:05

I like Appletize and also Kombucha

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 10/06/2025 18:06

I want something that's fizzy but not sweet. After an entire evening of not drinking (I can't drink alcohol at all) I can feel my teeth rotting. So I tend to stick with tonic water.

What annoys me is when you go to 'dos' (weddings, big ceremonies etc) when there's a bottle of red and a bottle of white on the table, but if you don't drink you're stuck with the jug of water.

Chocoholicnightmare · 10/06/2025 18:06

Gordon's non- alcoholic gin is lovely (has that bite without the sweetness)

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 10/06/2025 18:07

There are some really nice cordials available. I like the ginger based ones as there is a bit of a kick to them.

Fever tree Mediterranean with a spring of rosemary

Martini vibrante with orange peel

Both over ice

Good point! I love Mr Fitzpatrick’s cordials. I’m currently drinking the lime & lemongrass one because I’ve run out of my favourite lemon, mint & cucumber (I usually dislike all 3 ingredients but somehow they work wonderfully together in this cordial and I’m addicted).

Goodrays, you get them on Amazon. They have a bit of cbd in them, more than TRIP and tastier too. Got me through the first couple of weeks of an AF year, give you that little chilled out glow you’re looking g for

Rhythmisadancer · 10/06/2025 18:11

Bottlegreen ginger & lemongrass cordial mixed with tonic and ice is really nice - the gingery kick works instead of alcohol, so a bit more sippable than lemonade

Loads of AF beers and spirits are nice these days - but I don't know why they're so expensive. We're always being told that it's the tax that makes booze dear, but there doesn't seem to be a discount when the manufacturers aren't paying it

Needspaceforlego · 10/06/2025 18:11

I used to love a 'rock shandy',
Angus sturie bitter, dash of lime, lemonade and ginger ale.

Firefly100 · 10/06/2025 18:15

San Pellegrino Limonata - yes technically it’s a lemonade but it tasks fantastic. Sour enough not to glug imo.

AnotherCF · 10/06/2025 18:19

Ginger ale with a dash of vanilla.

RebelliousHoping · 10/06/2025 18:20

Air up with sparkling water. One of their latest trio packs was mocktail.
They did a cassis blackcurrant one back in January as I use to love echo falls raspberry & cassis wine before its discontinuation and the pods made me kind remise.

Schweppes did a lovely watermelon tonic last summer which I did quite happily drink on its own. Maybe they’ll do a another flavour one this year.

BleakAF · 10/06/2025 18:23

Chu Lo sour soft drinks made in Manchester. Honestly a game changer. Not sweet and lovely flavours.

FlightCommanderPRJohnson · 10/06/2025 18:23

I really like the Cawston Press drinks - you can get sparkling in cans or flat in a carton - the sparkling ones definitely have lots of 'bite'.

Tortielady · 10/06/2025 18:26

My favourite soft drink brand is Fentimans, especially their ginger beer and traditional lemonade varieties. Their raspberry lemonade is good too. They also do Cola and and dandelion and burdock, neither of which I've tried as I suspect they'd be just as sweet as other makes and not to my liking.

Belvoir is another reliably good brand. I like their elderflower presse; some years ago, we went for lunch at a Persian restaurant which was alcohol free (they let you bring your own, but we hadn't) and they suggested Belvoir because it looks nice in the glass, which it did. It's definitely not just pop.

Fatmumslim01 · 10/06/2025 18:28

Nix and kix mango and turmeric is good with lots of ice

dotdotdotdash · 10/06/2025 18:29

Belvoir ginger cordial and Mother Root, which is an aperitif-style one to drink with soda and ice. Again, it’s ginger flavoured.

I also like chilled green tea with a dash of elderflower cordial.

Chemenger · 10/06/2025 18:35

Tonic with a dash of Angustura bitters is nice.
