On day 8, feeling great! But got a pub trip tomorrow with friends who will be drinking. I only ever think of the usuals.. Coke, lemonade, J2O or a non alcoholic version of ciders/beers etc.
what's your fave?

Pineapple juice with lemonade. It's so refreshing. Have ice yum!!!

JaneJeffer · 08/01/2022 14:31

Virgin Mary

DaisyWaldron · 08/01/2022 14:36

Alcohol-free beer, fake gin and tonic, nice ginger beer, tea, kombucha, lime and soda.

LaVidaJoker · 08/01/2022 14:38

Tonic water with lots ice and lemon in a nice glass. Bonus points if it’s a pub with poncy tonic water flavours.

Blueberrycreampie · 08/01/2022 14:39

Soda water with lime or just plain fizzy water!

expatmigrant · 08/01/2022 14:47

Soda water and lime. I don't like any diet drinks and don't really drink juice, so I just stick to that. I like it quite week so it is not too sweet.

Nothingsfine · 08/01/2022 16:04

I've had a mocktail or two. Very sweet so probably wouldn't want more than a couple but they do feel a bit extra with the nice glass etc

mrsbyers · 08/01/2022 16:09

A St Clemence , orange juice and bitter lemon topped with lemonade but usually begrudge the cost in a pub so stick to Lime and Soda

MarmiteyCrumpets · 08/01/2022 16:10

I'm quite partial to a Nojito.

LemonDrizzles · 08/01/2022 16:11

Cranberry juice

SingingSands · 08/01/2022 16:23

Blackcurrant and soda

@sonicshoegazes have never thought of pineapple and lemonade, will try that tonight! 👍🏼

winolady · 08/01/2022 16:43

Great suggestions everyone!
I forgot about cranberry juice and blackcurrant and soda, will definitely opt for these. Love the fact I'll be saving money too!

Can someone tell me what Kambucha is? X

Yes, it's made from fermented tea. I only know this as it was on a quiz show earlier!
whywouldntyou · 08/01/2022 20:17

Lemonade, lime juice and angostura bitters- lemon lime and bitters.

Just smiling at the thought of getting kombucha in our local. Lime and soda, tonic water or alcohol free beer for me.
Roystonv · 08/01/2022 20:23

Lime and soda here too

Shimy · 08/01/2022 20:25

Weenurse · 08/01/2022 22:05

Le,on, lime and bitters, or a mock tail.
Congratulations on day 8, it gets easier

Aurorie11 · 08/01/2022 22:06

Anything elderflower flavoured

Crucible · 08/01/2022 22:14

Fentimans ginger ale, it is lush.

winolady · 09/01/2022 10:01

Thanks everyone I will be definitely be going for a cranberry juice and blackcurrant and soda later, weirdly excited about not drinking but I think that's because it's still a novelty at the moment IKYWIM?

How is everyone else doing?

I found last night tough, DH and I watched some Netflix shows and I would've normally had a glass in hand. When I get that craving feeling it's almost like a tension in my chest that I know a drink would relax instantly, must be more of the habit than an actual dependence but still feels odd.
2 weekends down now 3 to go!

Anyone else thinking of going beyond Jan?
