STOP PRESS! ADM overturned Panel's decision!!!!!

I can't believe it... I just got a phonecall and the Decision Maker has overturned the panel's "no" and we are APPROVED TO ADOPT!!!!!!!!!

I think I'll go and faint now...

that is brilliant news. My cousin adopted a little boy about 14 months ago and its been a fantastic time for his Mum and Dad and all the family. He is fab. You have so much love and fun to look forward to, So happy for you and your family.

Massive congratulations! Such good news!

I did think that if ever there was a case that needed the adm overturning a decision, it was yours. It sounded from what you wrote that panel had basically made up their mind before ever seeing you, and then were a bit flummoxed when you were able to competently address all their concerns, but for some reason (pig-headedness? Fear of losing face?) weren't able to gracefully concede, and change/adapt their opinion.

So glad the adm saw through it and came to the right decision! Smile

Thank you so much everyone for the good words and well wishes! Looking forward to family finding now (I know I'll eat my words as last time around I found it excruciating, but right now after all this it feels like it will be a ball!)
