Looking for adoption advice

Hello everyone this is my first post. I am looking for information regarding single people adopting. I am 30 and a single female teacher. Am really unsure if this is even possible or where I would start.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

As others have already said - yes single parents/people can adopt. In fact a foster child I looked after, who went on to adoption, was placed with a single female. Sometimes children have suffered abuse by a man and are not comfortable around men in general. They are better placed for adoption with a single female iyswim.
