We heard from our SW yesterday that the childs SW wants to go ahead with us!! Yay!!

The childs SW is off sick this week and didn't ring mine back at the end of last week so she had to chase it with the manager. Our SW apologised for the wait as she realises how agonsising it is - and it was!

So, we need a panel date and our SW is going to try and arrange this even though the other SW is off, with the aim of having a deadline (as the childs SW doesn't seem to be very on the ball!)

Hoping there is a slot left on the mid Feb panel but if not it will prob be the very start of March.

I just can't believe it. I know it's not 'in the bag' yet but we have waited soooo long to be parents and can't believe that it now within reach!! All being well we could have a little 18 month old boy in the house by March/April!!!

Huge congrats!

Sure they will fit you in on the Feb panel. A "matching panel" appt gets priority so if you are ready someone else will be dropped that day if necessary, such as an adoption approval, if it means fitting you in.

Oh how lovely. Have 2 adopted children myself, and can honestly say that finding out we were chosen for each of them were the 2 happiest days of my life. Enjoy!

Thanks for asking LittlePushka - i did mean to come back and tell you but it's been the maddest few days in history!

The great news is that panel said yes - yay!!! So, planning meeting is booked for the 10th March and we'll go to meet him immediately after the planning meeting.

I finish work on Friday, have 1 1/2 weeks off to get my life sorted and then i'll finally get to see him - can't bloody wait!!

Yes, it feels like Christmas again. I feel very strange though. My brain just seem to compute very much and i am soooo tired - not sure that that's all about! I guess it's probably because my brain is full to capacity.

I am definitely in nesting overdrive though!

RipVanLilka - he's 17 months old and CUTE! (although i realise that might be a biased opinion Smile )

Roll on next Thurs. Not only the day we meet him but also hubbys b'day! I think if i have to wait much longer i am gonna explode.
