Do you recommend a soup maker for homemade soups?

I like making homemade soups. Like parsnip and apple soup
Beetroot soup

There are so many soups.

I usually use a saucepan and boil everything and then blend with a handheld blender.

I am considering getting a soup maker. I think it would be good to put it into the one container and blend it there too.

Anyone here have a soup maker and would you recommend one?

I love mine. I WFH 3 days a week and it’s perfect for a quick lunch. You can make soup with a pot and stick blender but I hate them.

I have a blender that has a soup function and a self clean function.

Like other people have said, it is hard to get a silky smooth texture with a hand blender. The soup comes out of my blender very hot and needs to cool a bit before eating or storing. www.johnlewis.com/braun-powerblend-9-jug-blender-black/p112183866?s_ppc=2dx_mixed_technology_BAU&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23001357484&gbraid=0AAAAAD2el1wHUzdRHd_G-jprvaX9awM_p&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIm5Pk786ZlwMVOphQBh1rbBI5EAQYAyABEgK8hPD_BwE

I’ve got a soup maker from Tower, it’s fabulous but the electrical part is at the bottom of the jug making cleaning it tricky.
Broccoli and Stilton AMAZING

Neither of mine have had that. How strange.

I linked this earlier on, this website is brilliant for soup makers. I have tried lots of them and there are no failures yet

I remember I tried to make kale soup and my soup maker broke. The whole house smelt horrible from the kale. Put me off kale for life.
If you have a busy life then a soup maker is good as I say my blender bit broke on both mine, still works for chunky soup though.
If you have the time and cooking in a pot, use a hand blender then past the soup through a wire sieve, you get a lovely smooth soup, but thats if you can be bothered. My DH likes it smooth but with bits of veg, so the best of both.
Im going to make Chicken and Sweetcorn soup ( egg drop soup )today, so easy and tasty and low cal, but im doing that in a pot and not blending it. That would spoil the texture.
