Do you recommend a soup maker for homemade soups?

I like making homemade soups. Like parsnip and apple soup
Beetroot soup

There are so many soups.

I usually use a saucepan and boil everything and then blend with a handheld blender.

I am considering getting a soup maker. I think it would be good to put it into the one container and blend it there too.

Anyone here have a soup maker and would you recommend one?

I make a lot of soup so I bought a soup maker. I’ve realised I 90% make chunky soup….and I like sautéing the garlic and the soffrito in a big pan. So I just use a pan and make a big batch and freeze portions.

I bought a soup maker last year after my ancient stick blender burnt out, I was sceptical but it was an impulse buy in Lidl, I love it, it makes perfectly smooth soup, keeps it warm and is so quick, there are only two of us now though, if I still had the family at home the soup maker would not make enough so I would use a large pan and blender.

My mum has one and she loves hers, uses it often.

I have the Lakeland countertop one. I love it and use it regularly through the colder months. It makes 3 or 4 good sized servings at a time. I enjoy watching it cooking as it’s glass so you see the whole process. Can make lumpy or smooth, and can be used for smoothies etc too.
I recommend it for ease of use and value for money. Means I eat a bit healthier in the winter.

I dont have the strength and dexterity for a stick blender and pan or the stability to hold it all so a soup maker works for me.

You don't need one, it just takes up space in the kitchen. A large pan with a lid, and one of those hand-held food processors that whizz it up in the pan, is all you need.

I'm thinking of buying the Ninja soup maker, I'm having All on 4 done on my teeth in the new year & will need to eat liquid & soft foods for 3-4 months while they heal.

I’m not a big fan of kitchen gadgets. But I’m a big fan of our soup maker.

I have the same model, it's brilliant. 20 minutes start to finish and makes lovely velvety soup. Also it seems to keep the soup hot for ages after cooking. Love it

That's strange, it's as easy to clean as a pan and blender, unless you want to use a dishwasher I guess.

I love mine. I work from home so at this time of year, I have fresh soup pretty much every lunchtime and it’s so much easier than doing it on the hob where I’ll inevitably forget about it or keep checking it to avoid work. It’s definitely made my lunches much healthier.

I’ve got a Tefal one. I love it! 9 years old and still going strong. I make loads of soups in winter. I got awful scalds on my arms once from a soup/stick blender situation. Love the speed and convenience of a soup maker.
I don’t find mine difficult to clean. You just put hot water in and use the ‘cleaning’ setting 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do get one patch where it sticks but I use white vinegar and it lifts the crap off.
