I'm in the hard No thanks camp.

Coriander. Loathe it.

Loathe coriander too. Love sprouts and parsnips as does one of my daughters. My husband and our other daughter loathe them.

LindorDoubleChoc · 30/08/2026 19:54

Fish and seafood: hard yes from me and the two dc, hard no from dh.

Mashed potato: everyone likes except ds.

Breakfast: essential and crucial to dh and dd, a bit stomach-turning for me, ds goes either way.

Blue cheese: I'm the only one who likes it.

I fucking love garlic. I love it.

My partner is allergic to garlic. Seriously allergic.

I have a poorly garlic bulb tattooed on my arm to remind myself how unwell it can make my partner. And as a memory of my garlic loving days.

Yorkshire puddings. 50/50 split.

FridgeJenga · 30/08/2026 20:31

We are all united when it comes to Yorkshire puddings in our house! 👍

Coriander has come up a lot on here but how do you all feel about basil?
I can't stand the taste, but love the smell.
DCs all love basil pesto but DH and I are firmly in the no camp.

Creamy pasta sauces, my go to when knackered and hungry. DH can’t stand them.

Yourinmyspot · 30/08/2026 20:42

Mushrooms and black pudding I can’t stand them but DH and DD love them. I love liquorice and peanut butter and they both hate them.

restingbitchface30 · 30/08/2026 21:14

Mince. Grown up children hate it. Me and 4 yo twins love it. Partners a veggie. That’s just an example there are tons more.

MyThreeWords · 30/08/2026 21:19

Maggi Sauce.
It smells like the unswept floor of a downmarket convenience store and tastes worse. But the rest of my family think it improves my stews.Angry

PurpleYarnivore · 30/08/2026 22:05

Youngest DD and I love cheese , marmite , cucumber .
eldest detests all 3 .

DS and DH love bananas- I am allergic 🤢

Are you properly allergic?

I am actually allergic to bananas and it’s so rare that I’ve never come across another person who is.

It’s no great loss as they are slimey and foul and absolutely stink!

My family eat bananas and I won’t touch them at all. Won’t even move them on the counter.

they don’t try to kill me, just make me cough uncontrollably and my tongue swell a tiny bit so technically it’s still oral allergy syndrome. Same with walnuts.

oh and the itching. So much itching.

MarchingOnTogether · 30/08/2026 23:01

Well our household consists of
a vegan teen whos also autistic/pda
Another teen with arfid,
one coeliac (Me)
Amd an eastern European

So everything one person likes offends at least one other household member 😂😂

CoffeeAndCakeBringMeJoy · 30/08/2026 23:10

Nutella. I love it, but DH and DD hate it. I never buy it though, I have no self-control with Nutella and would polish off the jar in one day.

RosesAndHellebores · 30/08/2026 23:14

Parsnips
Cauliflower cheese
Brassicas
Root veg except carrots, spuds and beets
Courgettes

Cotopaxi · 30/08/2026 23:23

Olives. I love them, DH can't abide them.

Cinnamon. DH likes it and I loathe it with a passion. Why, oh why can nobody ever make any kind of apple-based pudding or dessert anywhere on the planet without contaminating it with that powdery evil? Sticks of the stuff abound in the festive aisles come November and December and the stink of it very nearly puts me off Christmas shopping altogether. 😥🤑

mondaytosunday · 31/08/2026 00:08

Butternut squash. I make the most yummiest soup with them but my DD says it’s stinks so I don’t make it when she’s around (she is away at uni most of the winter). And gummy type sweets. I think they are disgusting but all my kids loved them.

Sounds cliche, but Marmite. But we live down the road from the factory, you can smell it a lot, but DH still doesn't like it despite living here for 20 years.
And black pudding.

Mmm black pudding softie.
😋😋

Dr13Hadley · 03/09/2026 20:05

Marmite / Vegemite.
Ds2 loves Vegemite, I love Marmite. DH and DS1 hate both!
