Found erotic books under 16-year-old daughter's mattress, say nothing?

DD(just turned 16). Away for a few days with a friend's family.

I turned the mattress in her room and found two erotic books underneath it. Think 'Black Lace' type if you know what I mean.

I am inclined to say and do nothing, so just wondered if that was the common response. At the end of the day she is 16. We had the porn talk years ago and I still have an app on my phone that monitors her internet use. She is a good kid (good results last week in her GCSEs, good friends and hobbies etc, no big worries) and we have a good relationship.

(Mind you, I must admit that if the book in question was Fifty Shades of Grey, I would be worried, since from what I have heard, that book has really and truly terrible ideas about consent.)

Just Ignore it. I’d read the whole of Lace and also Ambition (by Julie Birchall) which was quite the eye opener by the time I was 15. I have always had strong boundaries and a healthy normal sex life. She’s fine and be thankful she’s reading and not watching.

Maybe she needs a link to love honey sent and asked to choose a few things for her Xmas as I strongly believe girls should be allowed to know that masturbation is normal and healthy and actually as a teen she’s likely to get better sex from herself than some horny boy!

Wow. What’s wrong with suggesting that young women should be encouraged to explore “self love”??? Why are we such prudes over this topic when it comes to female and not males. I just want to add that a lot of fiction these day that isn't marketed as "erotic fiction" contains sexual content as part of the storyline, and you wouldn't know from looking at the cover. Books like The Pumpkin Spice Cafe series by Laurie Gilmore.
