yesterday I saw that islamic bookshops run by the Muslim brotherhood (who are banned in Egypt and I think the UAE) are bringing “workers” over on skilled worker visas. The UAE has stopped government scholarships to British universities because they are worried about their young people being radicalised here!

islamic terrorism is a problem. 75% of Mi5’s watch list are Muslim.

how do we remain a safe and tolerant place for the many peaceful Muslims while still retaining our values and safety?

Yes they'll be lamenting, 'why didn't we notice sooner?'. I won't be jubilant on that day however, I would simply like them to notice now. Even now, is it already too late?

I am anti mass migration but I would not vote for reform. They want to end the NHS and will work to arfs removing women's rights. It's literally in the manifesto. They may not even curb migration much because a lot of their part members will be the landlords that benefit from it. I think that they or some other right government will gain more power soon though.

I don't know. Although the population of integrated foreign nations will grow they won't ever have that much power as a lot of them either can't or won't work. They will always depend on the wealth generated by the British (yes we do exist) population's work. It will be interesting (and possibly devastating) to see what happens, though.

Reform are incompetent. There's no hope that they may be able to deal with the situation.

You can't trust Reform as it's led by Farage. What about Restore and Rupert Lowe? Honestly I would swerve him as well but I can't vote Labour again - nor Lib Dem nor Green. Tory - meh.

I don't think most Turkish women wear hijabs though. Most Turks I have met (and I have met a LOT - used to live in North London in a part where there are so many) are 'soft' Muslims - they bend the rules like a lot of Christians do! And they assimilate well for the most part.

But something like this would be deemed fascist. This is how nazi Germany started was it not?

I dislike hijab as well. But how can you ban someone who wants to voluntarily cover their hair?

Not always easy to detect sarcasm!

This is a major problem- the minimising of what the Far Right actually is. If fairly centrist views are ' far Right' then it's easy for people to turn round and say the Far Right isn't that bad, when the actual Far Right ( which would include Islamist extremists- nationalistic, belief in religious/ racial superiority/ authoritarian) is a violent death cult. Many of the things the Identitarian Left say are 'far Right' was Labour policy 50 years ago. They are calling traditional Left leaning people like gender critical feminists, Far Right.

After what Spain has done, that's not an appealing thought - and I was bloody gutted to leave the EU at the time. But yowzers, those are big numbers.

In the neighbourhood where I lived I did see some older women wearing headscarves, but also several without. I also remember some young women (possibly Arabic rather than Turkish, not sure though) covering their hair with elaborately arranged headscarves, while also wearing figure-hugging clothes and makeup. That particular look I haven’t seen in quite a while.

Like why on earth would they do this and just shoot themselves in the foot?

I was thinking that the new Labour cabinet isn’t exactly leading the way on diversity with only two non-white members. 😀

I honestly think Pedro Sanchez is a psychopath. He's not no real mandate, either - clinging on via coalition by the skin of his teeth, desperate to avoid those corruption charges.

This is the thing. For once, I can't blame our current and previous governments as it is going on all over the place. I'd just love to know why. Who is really running things?

If they don't let loads of people in the prices of rents and housing will go down and so will the investments of thousands of landlords MPs/ councillors.

I was out with friends on Saturday, one of whom was wittering about the ‘great replacement’ and international money men controlling the world.

Most sensible people realise that GRT is an antisemitic trope, but it’s easy to see how it can take hold when it offers a superficially coherent narrative to a state of affairs which seems unexplainable. Why, when successive governments have been elected over decades on an anti-immigration ticket, are we in this disgraceful mess?

There isn't another way to increase rent or house prices though, no one is having children..all of this is the list of landlords to have even more money.
