Yes! They seem to get earlier each year. Made my first crumble this week. X

I have a big bramble hedge at the top of my garden, mainly for security, and yes it's yielding very early this year. I'm guessing the constant hot weather has played its part.
Other stuff isn't do so well, we lost all our peaches and cherries and my crocrosmia has gone over already.

I was just thinking on my evening dog walk that I can’t ever remember blackberries being so ripe and so abundant in July. Around here (Cheshire) they’re usually a September crop.

Yep, my freezers full of them. Big, juicy variety in the Midlands. About 5lbs so far - yummy.

Not ripe in Somerset but Devon’s were ripe a month ago.

I just took the dog out and spotted some, so picked some to put in a crumble tomorrow.

Yes, about 12lbs so far. That's 4 jars of jelly and some in the freezer. Sunny North Yorkshire

Yes, picked over 4kg this morning. Washed and into the freezer. Still loads to come.

We use them to make blackberry jelly (jam without bits), blackberry vodka, crumbles.

It’s actually all wrong that Blackberries are ripe now. Definitely used to be end August beginning of September not that long ago!

A friend and I picked 17lbs of blaeberries this afternoon in the Borders! So many more there than last year. I was wondering if that was due to the wet spring. As well as everything else they're great in, I'm looking forward to making more blaeberry gin!

Saw loads today @ Bamber bridge

Seen loads of ripe blackberries and yesterday froze a whole punnet full I was given. Going away so couldn’t eat them all.

That reminds me I need to pick the ones in my garden I saw had reached peak ripeness. I have a very stubborn and rampant patch behind the shed that I tried to reduce in size several years in a row before accepting that I had lost that battle and should just enjoy the fruit.
