What's your spiritual experiences?

Was just scrolling through fb reels and came across one about spiritual experiences. It got me thinking about mine and what others people have had. Would love to hear peoples experiences.

Mine is when my middle child was just 5 weeks old I was sat at my dads. I was sat on the floor infront of him with my baby on my lap whilst my eldest was on my dads lap. He spilt his water on his lap. Just as he did I heard a voice say he's going to die. I knew the voice was talking about my dad. A week later he passed from a heart attack. The voice was clear as day as if they were in the room with me.

That actually sounds really sweet that your DFG had come to collect your DGM i love hearing stories like that

It was, best part is they passed away on exactly the same day 5 years apart. Truly a beautiful love story

I've had a pretty incredible experience now I think about it but don't really want to put it in a public forum.

my FIL was on holiday when he woke up in the middle of the night and said his mother had died and they had to go home. She had.

My grandmother ( on the other side of the family) heard her husband screaming her name when his ulcer burst in the Second World War. He had been screaming her name .
My father nearly drowned as a child in a swimming pool. He said quite matter of factly that an angel had saved him. He was the least woo person ever.

I have also had very clear information come to me at times about various things that turned out to be accurate. I just knew the information was correct.

OH parents had died and he had taken his father's watch to be repaired. One night he dreamed his parents appeared and his father said 'go and get the watch, it's ready' . It had just been fixed after weeks of being in the repair shop.

I had a bit of a crazy one. Staying at SIL house with newborn DD and 2 year old DD. There was a massive storm. Huge winds (not UK) and she said we were to sleep in their spare room. Heard a voice say "don't sleep in there" but I ignored it.

Co-sleeping with both DC and suddenly a piece of wood flew off the neighbour school house and smashed into the outer wall of the room we were sleeping in. It made a huge shelf that was above the bed fall down, (it had an old style CD stereo with massive speakers and a huge glass jar). Somehow just seconds before it fell on our heads in my sleep I managed to lift my arm over the DC so nothing hit them.

Honestly, it could have killed newborn DD. I had a gash on my forehead, but the kids were fine. When SIL eventually calmed down, and I was so confused how I had put my arm up before it fell, she said it must have been her grandmother who still "looked after" the house.... Spooky!

The next day seeing the plank of wood literally embedded in the side of the house I realise how lucky we were no one was badly injured.

Oh wow, mine never gave a date or time, just that he was going to die

Remembering more after I wrote my post; my grandmother actually spoke to the voice to ask when after it told her her father was going to die. I asked her how she didn't remember until the moment he died and she said she wasn't supposed to remember, just the information was supposed to sit in her subconscious to prepare her.

There are other things too but far to outing to post.

My great Aunt was actually able to pick the winners in horse races. She was very psychic generally but I never knew her.

Thats pretty cool she could do that.
I got told when I was 16 that I had that sort of gift where I could talk to those that passed I just needed to let them talk to me. The thought scares me so dont often let my guard down when it comes to that.
Going back about 8 years ago after spilting with my DC father I was dating someone and told him that he had an elderly man on his landing looking for his wife. A few days later he told me an elderly man used to live there you cared for his wife who ended up passing in the bedroom, he had a fall awhile later and passed on the landing. It kinda freaked me out when he told me as there was no way of me knowing about the elderly man on his landing.

I'll put mine here as no-one is being negitive (I've written this before )

The day before my Dads funeral , we (DH and I ) were in the parents house . My DC were at home

Our camera in the hall used to pick up my DD going up/down stairs or the cats or DS .and we'd get an alert
On this night , it was alerted by orbs .In our house
No-one was there , not DC not cats . Just slow moving orbs .
No lights reflecting .

I had Derek Acorahs Biography , my Dad read it and said it was "interesting " not what a crock of shit this is ( My parents were religious )
Derek Acorah said ( one of his stage shows we went to ) "Look for a sign , your loved ones will let you know "
So my Dad was dead but his body was on its last day on earth before cremation.
I like to think he was saying "Bye"

I very much believe orbs are spirits saying they are there.
A few months ago I saw one with the naked eye. It looked like a faint white small balloon. I was thinking about my mum at the time who had passed 2 years prior

Not mine, but my Nana’s. There she was in Caerphilly Miners Hospital - a place where they used to open windows to let people’s souls out - an old, old place. She was near the end and although I lived in England I’d just passed my driving test so was there every weekend. On one visit she was complaining - and she was not a complainer - that a doctor had been walking up and down the corridor the night before and it kept her awake. She was so cross she told me to ask the nurses about it - so I did. No doctor had been on the rounds and I told her. The next day I went back and she said: “He did it again! And he’s got a black coat! And he looked in on the woman in the cubicle next to me!” So I asked the nurse again about this noisy doctor with a black coat. She started to say the same thing - there was no doctor - but when I said the black coat and the cubicle - she said very quietly: “Oh.” And instantly I knew, went back to Nana and said: “It’s not a doctor…” And Nana herself said: “Oh. The lady died I think?” Yes, she had. So my Nana said: “Well if he comes tomorrow I’ll tell him I’m ready.” I stayed until about 3am and my mum did too and my Nana said to both of us: “I can hear his footsteps. I love you. Please go home.” So we weren’t there at the exact moment - we were in the car park, sat in the car, and we were just walking back into the hospital as the nurse called us to say she had gone and it was very peaceful. I am tearing up recounting this. And, of course, we opened a window to let her soul out…

Thanks lovely, it was surreal but genuinely felt peaceful and that she was ready. As I say, we didn’t go home, we sat in the car park and after an hour we decided to go back in and as we did the mobile rang and it was the nurse. So we saw her just after, tucked her into bed, told her again that we loved her, kissed her and opened the window. My lovely Nana.

My wonderful nanna was like a mother to me, we were incredibly close. She died a few years ago around my 50th birthday- she was 96.
I was grieving so much for her, trying to keep strong for the family and sorting out her home etc.

About 6 weeks after she’d passed away I was laying in bed around 6am having not long woken, just laying there on that half awake state where you are dozing and comfortable. Suddenly I hear my nan’s voice calling my name in that sing song way she used to, she asked me if I was ok. I answered ‘oh nan, yes I’m ok’ she then said ‘you won’t forget me will you’ and I started to cry saying ‘oh nan no, I will never forget you’ and then I jumped awake, absolutely sobbing. It seemed that she was telling me she was ok, and from that day I started to lift a bit, to realise that she was at peace.
I miss her terribly, I’ve so much to tell her, to talk to her about. But I feel she is with my grampa and is keeping an eye on us, she knows how much I love her and I will definitely never forget her ❤️

A long time ago someone gave me a necklace. I didn’t like it and sensed very strongly that something bad would happen. My father died the following week.

A few years later my mum had a new partner. One Friday after work, I was feeling very down and didn’t know why. When I asked myself what on earth was wrong, I suddenly thought someone is going to die and I knew it would be either my partner or my mum’s. My mum’s partner died four days later.

Years later, one night in bed, apropos of nothing, I had a ‘visitation’ from my deceased father (for the first and only time ever in my life). He was just ‘there’ clearly in my head. The next day, my partner phoned and said his own father had died at the time that my father had appeared to me.

There’s a lot more stuff that’s happened (but it would be fair to say I’m very attuned to the ill and dying).

Optimisticdramalarma · 24/07/2026 22:41

As a child,I lived with my darling grandad

I lost him when I was 14 to dementia

Anyway,I fell pregnant a few years later but scans didn't pick up on the sex of my baby

I was standing in a shop when I heard him say 'it's a girl' really clearly in my ear

I gave birth to a girl and while in hospital,I was cuddling her when I whispered 'what do you think to her grandad?'

Immediately the lights dimmed for a few seconds

I used to work with a lad who would walk in at half 3pm,meant to start at 4pm but would always come down at 4:20pm to start his shift

One day,he just didn't show up,which was very unusual so our manager went round to his flat

She found him dead in his bed,it seems he'd had a fit, vomited and choked to death

We where all gutted,he was a much loved member of our staff

A week or so later,it was his funeral and most of us had to work straight afterwards

Bang on 4:20pm,we had a power cut-everything went down

We joked it was him making sure we hadn't forgotten him

A year to the day later, the same thing happened, bang on 4:20pm

I'm not sure it's spiritual but one day dp and I took his mum to visit her sister (dps aunt) and cousins

They live off the beaten track (to say the least-its a 500+ year old house in a field)

We where sat chatting to his cousins in the garden, his mum and aunt where in the kitchen when we all looked up

An object, dark grey, about the size of a range rover but round like a ball, with bright lights around it hovered over us,stayed for about 20 seconds and vanished

We all looked at each other 'did you see that?' when dps uncle came through the gate

'Did you see that?'

We agreed we had and he didn't seem bothered but we where really 'what the hell was that?'

Apparently there has been other sightings of ufo's in that area but I guess i'll never know

All I know Is 5 of us saw it and four of us where freaked out!

KylieKangaroo · 24/07/2026 22:45

Nothing for me but I wish there was and love reading about others stories. I always look for signs from my Mum but I'm clearly not tuned into the right frequency or I wish for it too much.

Sweetbeansandmochi · 24/07/2026 23:09

I was in bed but I wasn’t asleep and both my ears really hurt and I heard all this white noise static. A bit like my ears were being tuned into a different frequency and I heard an ‘African American spiritual’ choir - but it was fuller and more beautiful and they were singing ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’ and the choir leader was a powerful woman’s voice. Then it changed to an upbeat song I did not recognise but it was so bizarre because it sounded like they were singing the word ‘dog’. And I thought I must not be hearing it right. Anyway it finished.

About three years later, I was part of a school event, where we took some students to be part of this massive singalong event at The Royal Albert Hall. Anyway one of the songs was an upbeat African American song hymn - where they had deliberately changed the word God to Dog for the event. It was so strange - maybe it was nothing, maybe it was something but it definitely doesn’t fit in a box!
