What's your spiritual experiences?

Was just scrolling through fb reels and came across one about spiritual experiences. It got me thinking about mine and what others people have had. Would love to hear peoples experiences.

Mine is when my middle child was just 5 weeks old I was sat at my dads. I was sat on the floor infront of him with my baby on my lap whilst my eldest was on my dads lap. He spilt his water on his lap. Just as he did I heard a voice say he's going to die. I knew the voice was talking about my dad. A week later he passed from a heart attack. The voice was clear as day as if they were in the room with me.

Very similar experience to my grandmother who heard a voice while doing the cleaning that her father was going to die; the voice gave a date and even the time. Her father did indeed die on that date at that time. She heard "the voice" several times throughout her life and each time, it was right.

Gives me chills

Touty · 24/07/2026 19:14

Did the voice think they were helping at all? I can’t think what possible benefit one would get out of being informed of impending doom. It seems mean.

Ive had a few messages at the spiritualist church.

I heard my DF calling me, I was half asleep at the time somewhere quite noisy. He died 3 days later.

I think I've shared mine before but here goes
My mum died very suddenly quite young -59
I read a passage from the bible at her funeral
A few months later my sister called me - she was in a dreadful state
I went to hers, called an ambulance ( it was quinsy)
We were waiting in a hospital room for someone to come and I said, jokingly, let's pray
So I picked up the bible and lo and behold, it was the exact passage I'd read at my mum's funeral
Gave her some comfort x

Myswweetchild · 24/07/2026 19:27

We laugh about it now, because the man who was going to put a long thing down her throat, had just been to tesco for his meal deal 🤣

Namechangedforspooky · 24/07/2026 19:28

I’ve had many many things happen that I can’t explain but this is the one that comes to mind involving a voice. I think I’ve told it before on here…

A few years ago I’d finished a night shift at work and was driving home. As I went round the big junction outside the hospital where I worked a voice in my head shouted ‘get in the inside lane!’
I didn’t really think too much about it but I did as I was told and tucked myself in behind the other cars in the inside lane
Within a few seconds a car came flying around the junction going the wrong way. I would have had a high speed head on collision if I’d stayed in my original lane.
it was a male voice, Can’t explain it really

Myswweetchild · 24/07/2026 19:34

@Namechangedforspooky omg, that sent shivers down meh

Myswweetchild · 24/07/2026 19:40

I don't know what to believe sometimes
Brought up as a strict Catholic - I don't believe in the Afterlife anymore - though I was taught we'll all meet again
Struggling to be honest

Myswweetchild · 24/07/2026 19:44

I wish I did believe in The Afterlife
When my dog died, I'd have gone like a shot 🤣

Applepe · 24/07/2026 19:52

Many years ago now, I was in the shower washing my hair when a voice came through in my right ear. It was different to my own internal voice, quiet, calm. It told me that I would lose both my parents before I was 30, but it would be alright, I would be okay. It was as real as if someone was stood behind me. My mum died suddenly 5 months later. My dad died suddenly two years later, two months after I turned 29.

Amiiee · 24/07/2026 19:55

I said, "I know Jesus existed," when there was a sharp tap on the (outer) wall behind my head.

NormasArse · 24/07/2026 20:01

I was in my caravan and was settling down for the evening. I went to light a candle, and the match flared, then went out at exactly the same moment as the lights went off.

About an hour later, my SIL called to say my mum had had a brain hemorrhage, and had been taken to hospital. She died 6 days later. I couldn’t get that moment, when all the lights suddenly died, out of my mind.

Once my grandfather passed away, my grandmothers health deteriorated. Her dementia meant that we had to put her in a care home. After his death, DGF used to come to me in my dreams and I would spend time in my dreams explaining why a care home was the best place for her (in my culture placing the elderly in care is seen as a horrific act, no matter their situation). I used to dread the dreams but I loved my grandfather so dearly. I would wake up with such a heavy sense of guilt. I hated them but he we always radiated love in really life and my dreams, so it was just an awkward guilty feeling, I can’t explain it.

Anyways one night I dreamt of him and in my dream I could feel the rising anxiety. I approached him and noticed that

this time, he looked 40 years younger, was dressed as a groom and looked and me just to say “I’m so happy today! Everything is fine and forgiven!” It was like I was at his wedding. I looked around and saw DGM dressed as a bride, also 40 years younger but clearly confused and a little scared. She didn’t know where she was. Suddenly I felt a HUGE sense of happiness and relief. I can’t explain it, but my grandfather was soooooo happy, he was dancing and said he’d come to collect his bride. I even went over to DGM to tell her it was all good.

Woke up, so peaceful and “lighter” and a few hours later my DM called. I turned to my husband before picking up and said, “I know why she’s calling, DGM has passed away” and she had.

Amiiee · 24/07/2026 20:18

@DisorganisedMummyTurningOrgnaised that's how I saw my grandfather in a dream, he looked so young
