I'm a football fan, and I usually get behind the national team, even though often as individuals they're not very likable, but in this game they've been so awful, and DRC so up for it, I find my self thinking it will be a shame if DR Congo don't get anything from it.

I was in a pub, wearing an England shirt hoping we win. But also hoping that Wissa did well, but not too well. Boosted his confidence as he plays for my club, but didn’t score or I’d be hated by lots of people with pints of beer around me. I did want to wear them.
As it turned out I could claim both assists from a Newcastle ish player (he hasn’t started for Barca yet) and Wissa did exactly as I wanted.
But Congo were decent. They went out with heads held high.

I don’t know how you can’t watch a video like this and feel a huge swell of pride. We’ve endured so much as a nation recently, but there is still so much more that unites us than divides us
