I’ve just bought some Boody bamboo ones. They are so comfortable and I didn’t feel hot in them.

Is there a uk stockist for Boody?

begone25 · 25/06/2026 08:14

Thanks @HHCrochetDivathat’s the one I used to use too, no longer available on Amazon sadly and I’ve asked in Boots etc, not to be found for love or money! I’ve still got a couple of tubes in use, but like you, like to have a few backups dotted around!

The Below Belt one (via the Amazon link) might be a good alternative…

Atleastthedoglikesme · 25/06/2026 08:14

Wirapa long leg pants. Cotton. Better than snag chub rub knickers (which I also have).
Already linked on this thread but here they are again.

@begone25 sorry utter failure to read down the page there! Hmm shall have to investigate alternatives for when I eventually run out!

GooGooMuckMuck · 25/06/2026 09:48

Just regular Vaseline works wonders for me.

TBH I never had it when I was (for decades) a size 10-12.

So it came as a bit of a shock to realise that chub rub was wearing the fabric in the upper thighs of my favourite cotton summer trousers, so thin, it had partly worn away altogether. 🙁
I eventually had to bin 2 pairs.

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 25/06/2026 11:11

No because my thighs don't touch, which I imagine is usual for slim people? Not sure

Givemeausernamepls · 25/06/2026 11:22

I would suggest weight lifting chalk, the liquid one would be ideal.

I get chub rub, even when i was a size 6i could not run in shorts.

furimosa · 25/06/2026 11:39

Even though I’m heavier post dc I don’t really get it now as my hips have widened. As pp said a lot is to do with shape.

shape makes a difference, I had very narrow hips so got it despite being slim.

I don’t know but they have their own website. I believe they have a sale on currently.

Favouritefruits · 25/06/2026 13:14

Yes, if you’re curvy you’ll get it no matter what size! Even as a tiny size 6 teenager I used to get it so badly!

MaryBeardsShoes · 25/06/2026 13:15

I’m a size 14, sometimes 16, and I don’t get chaffing at all!

Beachforever · 25/06/2026 13:15

I’ve never had it and I walk a lot. I am slim but I think it’s more to do with sweating than size. I don’t sweat much so maybe that’s it.

Anarchy99 · 25/06/2026 13:53

That’s such a hideously offensive phrase - I cringe when I read it. I am overweight and don’t get it.

WestwardHo1 · 25/06/2026 18:12

I'm not being smug but I genuinely don't get it and never have. Size 8. I just assumed skinnies didn't get it.

Every day's a school day.

SpiralSister · 25/06/2026 20:00

Generous of thigh, although after dropping 5 and a half stone, I have a gap. And no rubbing whatsoever. It’s a miracle.

Blarn · 25/06/2026 20:15

I get it, but I also got it when I was a teeny tiny size 8. I think it is leg dependent rather than size dependent. I use a deodorant (not antiperspirant) stick or cream which really helps.

I have never had it and I’m much bigger than you so there isn’t a reason to be smug about it anyway 🤷‍♀️

Goatblu · 25/06/2026 21:18

I don't but I have very wide hips (and fat thighs). I'm a size 12/14. A couple of years ago I was a size 18 and they sort of felt stuck together at times but fortunately didn't rub.

Alwayswonderedwhy · 25/06/2026 21:21

I've only had it since being overweight. There's nothing to rub together when you're slim! 😂

I guess if you have a shapely thigh 🤷‍♀️
Ah well, I’ll crack on with my cotton cycle shorts 🤣🙌😎

No chub rub here. 40 and walk 20000+ steps each day. Very grateful for that.
