Today’s exciting thread - vacuum cleaners

Need to replace our vacuum cleaner, currently have a lightweight plugged in Dyson which is slowly dying. Could I have your opinions, pros and cons, on a replacement please, for carpets and hard floors, needs to be lightweight and able to cope with a stair and my ever shedding hair. Did buy a cordless vax a few years back, it’s ok for a quick whizz around, but useless for a proper clean. Thanks

No one mentioned robots! Absolutely brilliant, one (or two) of these and a handheld cordless, done!

One of the meny good bits of robot is that it goes to all bits of the room every time unless you tell ijt different so there is far less dust around anyway.

I’ve got the Miele cat and dog but the fucking dog has chewed all the buttons off it and punctured a bit of the hose.
it still works better than anything I’ve ever had.

I also have a Sebo X7 and it's ok but very heavy and the attachments are cumbersome to use even with the added hose.

Shark pet hair self cleaning vacuum, and also their carpet cleaner, around £1800 for both but got in sales, with discount codes for less than £650 for both. Great products!

One word. Miele. That is all.
