Dorset in May half term
Weekend camping in July

Possibly another UK break in the summer holidays, it will depend on what holiday clubs the DC want to do.

Girasoli · 29/04/2026 18:26

DCs passports have less than 6 month on them, will replace them when the expire.

A couple of weekends in London, Greece, a Christmas market in Europe somewhere, we tend to do weekends away every couple of months somewhere in the UK with the dog.

2x to Germany visiting family

Family break to Italy, 5 days Florence and 8 days Lake Garda

maddiemookins16mum · 29/04/2026 18:44

Corfu in June for 10 days (villa with 6 friends). £120.00 each for flights - as Mother of friend owns the Villa and isn’t charging us.
Krakow in September for 5 nights with DP - roughly £500.00 each in accom and flights.
Toronto in October for 6 nights (family wedding). This is costing us nearly 3K as staying in an air b and b.
This is unusual for us, normally we go away once but have saved like mad for 2 years for the Canada trip.

I'm single and can't drive so that limits me. However! I'm going to the Peak District by train in June for a week, and ten days in Crete in late September (I hate baking hot weather, and prefer to visit warmer places in the Spring or Autumn).

Staying home to declutter 40 years of junk. Started already, it's great.
