Would you eat this??

Chicken burger with salad and chips purchased yesterday around 6pm. Intended to eat it straight away but didn't because something urgent came up unexpectedly. Put straight in the fridge. Still there now.

Would you eat it tonight?

Would probably bin the salad but would defi stick the burger and chips in the airfryer on reheat.

ButterYellowHair · 28/04/2026 16:01

Yes… why wouldn’t you?

Sidebeforeself · 28/04/2026 16:09

Why do people think everyone has an air fryer?!

Because a lot of people do. In the absence of an air fryer, a grill, an oven or a frying pan would perform the same function. Presumably everyone has at least one of those?

FieryA · 28/04/2026 16:28

Of course I would. Put the chips in the oven and they get pretty golden too. Why waste?

Monty36 · 28/04/2026 16:40

No. Minced chicken already cooked for a burger I would not reheat.

Megifer · 28/04/2026 16:44

The food waste wouldnt bother me at all, id eat it just because it would save me cooking tonight. Burger and chips in air fryer, bun under the grill for a few mins to freshen it up, get rid of the salad if its floppy, bit of mayo, yum!

So do you not reheat any meat? Or just don’t reheat any sort of mince?

There is literally no risk. Zero. It is absolutely safe to reheat meat, minced or otherwise.

And chicken burgers aren’t usually minced anyway.

tryandbepositive · 28/04/2026 16:45

Nope

Oven would do the job too

Do you ever eat ready meals?

Yes a lot of people do but its not as ubiquitous as say an oven

Well yes, I do. But for some reason a chicken burger that was cooked elsewhere a day later I wouldn’t want to reheat and eat. So no.

Yes. But I wouldn’t cook one and eat it the next day either.
Just a question of preference.

neilshair · 28/04/2026 16:58

I wouldn’t eat it. I’m really fussy about food though. I’m sure from a safety point of view it won’t hurt.

But a ready meal is cooked. You buy it, put it in the fridge and then reheat it to eat the next day. I really don’t understand this.

Bitzee · 28/04/2026 18:11

Only out of pure desperation if I had no other food in and no money until payday because it sounds like it would be utterly disgusting once reheated. I don’t think it’s a health risk though.

DilemmaDelilah · 28/04/2026 18:16

I would. But almost anything sounds better than what I'm actually going to have.

user2848502016 · 28/04/2026 19:08

Of course

TappyGilmore · 28/04/2026 19:13

I’m sure it’s all edible and safe to eat. I’d definitely eat the burger. Would see what the rest of it looks like and eat it if it looks nice - salad could be a bit limp and chips might be a bit soggy.

HelpBlueOrRed · 28/04/2026 21:05

I ate the burger without the salad and a few chips. Blasted it in the microwave and then added mayonnaise.

It was glorious!
