i just got used to vernon and then stopped listening but had to turn off on monday, he was really annoying.

Brilliant! I really wanted her instead of Zoe in the first place!

We don't all hate Scott. I miss him. Gary Davies is ok and I like OJ. Don't like Sara's style of presenting tries to be too wacky.

Yes that's what I don't like either. I hope she doesn't do Hatched, Matched and Despatched at breakfast. Nobody wants to be hearing about death with their cornflakes.

The whole of r2 afternoons should be revamped. It feels v stale with Nelson and Vine taking up so many hours boring the nation. At least Sara had energy and great spirit and livened the place up a bit. Will miss her teatime show.

I hope that the beeb. Puts Ritchie Anderson in the drive time slot and take him off air for anything else so I can then not have to tolerate the definition of thrush as I can switch over and listen to someone else

YES!!! I was really hoping it would be Coxy. This is excellent news. Poor old Gary must be knackered from the early mornings by now, he's only usually pulled in for a week on holiday cover 🤣

Nelson - is that's who's on after Vine? I switch off immediately I hear either of the drone on so wasn't sure who had the afternoon slot. Please god don't let it be either of them.

@Romeiswheretheheartis Ah, get on Gary, plenty more early mornings to come, then! I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but he is solid and reliable and I've been enjoying his music choices.

I can't imagine why you think Jeremy Vine would be given a drive time show. He's a radio journalist, not a DJ. And nothing wrong with Trevor Nelson either. He doesn't drone on. He's just not lairy. And he knows about music.

Jeremy Vine's midday slot is perfect for him due to it following on from his stint on his tv programme on Channel 5. That won't change. I enjoy his radio show!

Not sure about Sara Cox taking on the breakfast slot. Will give it a go. She does rabbit on a bit too much doing silly voices so this might take some getting used to...

I'm disappointed... I don't listen to R2 in the mornings, much prefer Rossie on Greatest Hits. However I do like Sara for my last hour at work, not sure how she'll be in the mornings - too giddy?

But I'm one of the few that thinks please not OJ... he's so dull.

I won't miss Scott Mills - though I did like the easiest quiz on the radio!

Please not Richie or Gary for tea time. I could tolerate Rylan but prefer OJ. Actually my preference would be to bring Simon Mayo in.

I would love Simon Mayo to come back, failing that, OJ. I don't like Sara's style, far too babyish. Gary Davies won't want a full time gig, he seems happy to be a cover guy like Mark Goodier. Both of them have other irons in the fire anyway elsewhere so cover suits them. I like their presentation and delivery.

I am one of the few people who doesn't mind Richie. I've never found him annoying or intrusive and I had his stupid o'clock show on the other week when I was driving at 2am and it was fine. It's Ellie Brennan who's trying to get in on the act far more than Richie, and that irritates me.

Agree about Ellie. To me she just seemed to pop up from nowhere and can be quite irritating.Her voice annoys me. She used to go from all husky and giggly with Scott to slow and serious when doing the travel update. Not sure what the true her is?!

Hearing less from Ellie now that Scott has left. Thank goodness. Ellie really irritated me as well with her nasally voice. It felt like she spoke as much as Scott at times.
I am glad she has taken more of a back seat now that Woo Gary is on the breakfast slot.

Also don't mind Richie Andersen. He comes across as a nice guy.

Greg James could get the drive time slot. I wondered if they were teeing him up for radio 2 when he did the last charity endurance item.

Yes I noticed she seemed to try to take over and thought she was in a double act with Scott (and Vernon even more). I do have a smirk (probably unkindly) when she reads the travel and tells us where there is congestion and what is partially blocked. We can hear that Ellie.

After the recent disasters and awful presenters they have elsewhere on R2, you can't imagine why they wouldn't be so stupid as to offer it to Vine? I can - they just don't seem to learn.

I'm sure Nelson is well suited to a slot somewhere where he can drone on/talk about all the music he knows about - he just doesn't have the personality for an afternoon show. IMO of course - other opinions are available.
