I’m 48

lessons I’ve learnt

what others hate in you in what they lack in themselves

what they accuse you of is what they are guilty of

most men want women to be of service to them
support their work, give them children care for them
if the woman gets sick
most men can’t hack it
because she’s no longer providing for him

alot of people are selfish
but also a lot of people are kind

look for the good

listen to your gut

develop your intuition

live life with intregrity it’s priceless

try and make the world a little bit better for your existant

you matter you
not not here just to be a mum daughter wife and friend
your dreams matter
your hopes matter
your fears matter
you matter

live life

feel the fear and do it anyway

you want it look back on your life when your old, if hopefully you live that long
feeling thankful you experienced all you could in this life

That I am the luckiest woman in the world going by MN standards as I have a DH who doesn't fit any of the descriptions in this thread.

Men are not always the enemy - they are our fellow humans and like all humans some are good people and some are not.

Am 58 and been with DH 32 years. I have no doubt at all that my life is better with him in it.

Totally agree, it's sad all the man hatred on here

Mid 50s.

Ive learned there is no limits to the horror humans can stoop to.

Nature is cruel and makes no distinction between 'good' or 'bad'.

The world is beautiful and will go on beyond humans being here.

Real love is the most precious thing we have.

Accept yourself and know that life is very short.

Common sense is not common.

you think you're really close to someone and know them very well, then they surprise you with something you never realised they'd ever do or say and actually, you never really know what's going inside their head.

Life is a series of endings and beginnings, in relationships, life phases and the seasons.
