Where do you keep your handbag?

This is a random question but where do people keep their handbags when you are at home? I'm in a small terrace so space is somewhat lacking. I normally end up keeping my handbag at the bottom of the stairs by the front door or beside the back door at the kitchen (to prompt myself to remember what I need when I'm heading out) but it just looks so cluttered and gets in the way especially if it's there for a couple of days.

I don't have a cloakroom, just a coat stand at the front door which my bag would be too heavy for.

Any other clever suggestions for where people keep theirs?

In my bedroom. Even when I've been out, I take it straight back upstairs. It would feel weird for it to be downstairs 🤣

It is generally where I am so in the kitchen or by my bed. It’s just a useful place to keep everything I need - keys, tissues, earphones, lipstick, lip balm, hand cream, hairbrush.
I’m upstairs now so it’s with me next to my bed. It will be downstairs later and when I go for a walk I’ll just put the things I need from it in my pocket and leave it in the kitchen ready to put stuff back in to on my return.
It’s had a trip out to the gym and Lidl this morning.
I’m not going to keep putting things away and getting them out again whenever I want to leave the house so the basics are always in there so I can just grab and go

Mine is always upstairs. I hang it on a hook on the back of the bedroom door. It has to be off the ground or my cat would rake everything out. 😹

Bless you calling me coordinated - I really don't have shedloads of matching shoes and bags - but the 4/5 that I do I do match up!

slung across a kitchen chair, or on a hook inside my coat cupboard
