Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in the conservatory which seems to be becoming my new morning spot 😊. The cats have had their breakfast & were mooching about wherever I went - including the bathroom 🙄. They've both settled to snooze now I think.

I've just had a productive half hour - washer on, litter box cleaned, recycling and bin bag out, last night's pots put to soak, and cleared the worktop of doom. So now I'll sit and enjoy my cuppa and some fruit, for breakfast.

Today's plan is to get dd2 out of the house, away from school work/revision for a bit. She wants some revision cards so I'll take her into town & we'll just wander then get lunch.

When we get in, I'm almost certain she'll go back to it but at least she'll have had a break!

I'll carry on with the kitchen after town - I've spent the week slowly decorating so it's big clean up time. Calendar, spice rack, and a couple of pictures of the girls to go back up. And I want to find a bargain, cream roller blind, on Vinted. I favourited a handful last night. Also need to second coat the little bit of gloss behind the big freezer & fix where I bumped the freshly painted ceiling with my roller when dd2 made me jump the other day 🤣.

My dad's given me half the money on a pre-paid Mastercard so I think I'll use it to order a new bin, dish drainer, kitchen clock and treat myself to the paint pens I've been eyeing up <living the dream>. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be ready to move onto the hall/stairs/landing!

This evening it'll be chill with my book and a glass of wine, before heading to bed with boy cat 🐈‍⬛️.

Quiet one for me, fancy doing a bit of spring cleaning so might do the fridge and the airing cupboard!

Just got back from the train station as I took ds21 so he could go to Cardiff for a gig he has this afternoon. Just sat down and dp has brought me a coffee. Jobs on my list- empty and fill the dishwasher, put a load of washing on, and clean the living room of all my work crap that's taken over. Worst part of WFH is that I don't have a study, so there's no shutting the door to the working day. Then I have my nail appointment at 1pm, then it's back to the train station at 3pm to pick ds up. Trying to decide what to cook for me and dp this evening, ds21 and ds26 are having pizza, think I may do pasta, garlic bread and arancini. Broke the news to ds's that I hadn't brought them Easter eggs this year, they took it better than expected 🤣but there's plenty of chocolate here, and they don't need more.

Good morning @lucysmamand all - your morning sounds very productive.

I’m currently drinking tea in bed after getting home from our Easter mini break in Valencia at 3am, so no productivity here so far apart from making a shopping list - Dh has gone to get some food shopping done for the weekend as we have no food in the house.

Today all I need to do is unpack and sort out laundry, make some Easter rocky road and wander into town at some point for a couple of bits. Singapore noodles for dinner tonight.

Ds1 will be spending the day with his gf, ds2 will be chilling until he goes to work at 6, and I imagine Dh will spend the afternoon napping on the sofa since he still woke at 7am despite the late night, so a very slow and peaceful day all round.

I’ve had a lazy start to the day , am just about to take DDogs out for a walk , a lovely trail walk they love and I love because it has a lovely coffee trailer where I can buy my favourite cookie and coffee to walk around with . Then later I’m going into town for last minute Easter bits and then
meeting friends for late lunch . Happy Easter everyone .

Good morning lucysmam and to u all . A quiet day today as went out yest to get meat as all Dwn for dinner tomorrow and to collect their Easter eggs . Will pop to cemetery in the morning as well . Bit stressed as dsughter no 1 has finally seen sense after 10 years and dumped her bf but he’s harnessing her and I worry as her and my grandson live on their own so husband is fixing a doorbell camera today . Will we ever stop worrying about our children . Have a great and safe day all 🫶

2nd day of the Easter holidays here and 2nd day of DS being unwell! So he's not up for doing much beyond rotting in bed. Yesterday was super busy as DH was on call / holiday cover plus we wanted to get a fair few things crossed off the list so feel like quite a lazy day is needed today.

We've had toasted cheese with chilli jam for breakfast and I'm going to have a coffee and do some knitting now. I need to put in a superdrug order for holiday toiletries and a few other bits and pieces for next week (off to Turkey) - any ideas about securing loose boob pads in swimming costumes? They get all smooshed up in the washing machine.

Meeting a friend later for a quick drink -it'll be lovely to see her as it's been a while. Don't know what to have for dinner tonight - something fairly quick and easy. Maybe prawn green curry?

Today is Grand Tidy Day.

We got home from holiday on Friday, and have the inlaws coming for Easter Day tomorrow. The house is tidy, but really needs a good dust, hoover and mop.

Before that though, we're popping to the farmer's market, and I'm having an eye test.

We also have some hollyhock plants to bed in the front garden.

This afternoon I'll bake a marmalade cake, and DH will make some cheese scone dough, ready for tomorrow.

We are the road’s Easter cat/dog/seedlings babysitting service this weekend

I've just realised there a little slit in the side of the costume to allow for reshaping of said boob pads. How have I never noticed this before?!

Another day in bed probably as in 5th week of a depressive episode. I’d hoped to have got out today for a walk but can’t find the energy, maybe tomorrow or Monday.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, after a bright sunny start it’s getting blustery and cloudy here.
DS and family are here so lots of chatting and fun.
They’ve all done a Parkrun earlier, we’ve had bacon and egg butties and everybody is chilling out now.
DH has taken bigger dog out for her walk, he did tiddler earlier. Unfortunately I had some bad news healthwise earlier this week and am too breathless to do longer walks. I’m needing to rethink/plan quite a few things.
He’s fine doing it at the moment and I do have a dog walker lined up should we need one.
There are pizzas and salad for dinner, plenty of food in the fridge and luckily DS loves cooking.
DH has anchored my big climbing rose back to the fence and we’ve tied in the longest shoots so fingers crossed it doesn’t break free if Storm Dave hits here (I’m hoping we’re too far south….) I hope those of you further north stay safe x

@Tangerinesattack my bras have those annoying things in them - I take them out before washing & give them a quick wash in the shower to avoid the smooshing 🙂.

Lazy morning here although have been up ages. Have had tea, toast, shower, coffee etc. Dishwasher is emptied. Kitchen is like a bomb site though as I’m trying to sort it out a bit. DH is obsessed with online supermarket shops whether we need them or not and of having a stock of things. Way too much. I did a pantry clear out yesterday and had to throw away quite bit that was out of date which is annoying. I’m trying to sort drawers out more logically and create space. It’s a big kitchen with lots of storage but we just have way too much stuff. I have a short attention span though so do a few bits and then have a sit down.

Was supposed to go to the gym but tweaked my back on Thursday. Will maybe go for a walk later if the rain keeps off.

DH and DS are going to a football match tonight so I have the house to myself which never happens. Planning pasta and pesto with lots of Parmesan for dinner and then some ice cream and maybe a movie. Or just reading my book.

Was up early walking dog and getting a few bits from the shops. Kids are going away with grandparents so just sorting clothes.

I’ve cleaned the kitchen and living room and having a cup of tea now.

I’ve been ill and nearly over it but plan a quiet day today. Really fancy fish supper tonight.

I’m just at the holiday let I run. I had to meet the pat tester earlier on though it was empty last week. I have guests today so I’ve put out the Easter decs.
im just eating my co op meal deal and watching Grace before I give the cottage a bloody good vacuum.
eating my lunch in peace without the kids is a bonus of this which is my second job.

Haven’t read the thread yet but hoping you’re all well & having a good weekend so far 🙂🙂 I was awake at 6 & decided not to go back to sleep so made a cuppa & scrolled in bed for a while. DH went to work for 8 & called in for a coffee just after 10.Whilst he was out I caught up with Emmerdale & took a Vinted parcel to the PO. I’m owed nearly £50 from sales which will come in very handy as we’ve had a lot of big bills lately. Just done the dishwasher. Waiting to see if DD17 has any washing then I can put a load on. Also could do with hoovering the rabbit poo up. DD17 kept complaining she was bored so she’s currently educating me about Roblox games, particularly Adopt Me. I have to work later which will be busy. Nice easy tea of battered fish (Harry Ramsdens), chips & peas. Will watch BGT tonight & maybe a film if we’re not too tired. I’m still adjusting to the time change - so sleepy! 🥱

Afternoon everyone! We’ve had a nice chilled morning today. DH is at work, DD has been entertaining herself playing on the switch and painting, so I’ve been alternating playing with 2yo DS and doing some chores. We’ve made a bit of progress with his understanding of hide and seek so he does actually hide now, but randomly shouts “you found me!” 😂

Hoping to eat my lunch in peace while he has his nap and then we’re going out to soft play this afternoon because the weather is miserable! The kids will have bean chili and nachos for tea but there’s not enough for DH and I so no idea what we’re having. I quite fancy a Chinese but it’s not the fiscally responsible choice! We’ll get caught up on Last One Laughing and I might try and finish my book.

We’ve had a fairly relaxed morning, woke up early but just snoozed and cuddled for a while so didn’t get up until about 9.

Made breakfast, avocado toast and scrambled eggs for DP, bacon, egg and cheese bagel for me. Kids sorted themselves out.

Tidied the kitchen and sorted out the Tupperware cupboard of death after half of it fell out.

DSD has gone to Costa to revise, DSS has yet to appear from his pit. DS1 is watching the Liverpool game with me now and DS2 is about to go out and meet his friends.

DP is doing a lot of niggly little jobs which is good but is making me feel like I should wash the windows or something and I really can’t be bothered!

Chelsea playing later so will watch that and then MIL is coming over for Fandos for dinner with a glass of wine or two.

Tomorrow we’re off to my parents for dinner with DB, DSiL & DNiblings so I have done a little Easter Egg Hunt (mainly for the little ones but my lot have said they’re not too old yet and will ‘help’!) so I think I will pop over with that and set it up so it’s ready when we arrive and I don’t have to sneak around with them there!

So jealous reading all these posts , I'm 10 weeks post op from pelvic surgery and hip replacement after a stupid little trip on a pavement, so can't walk without crutches, have to sit on high chairs or cushions, can't drive for another 5 weeks & totally bored stupid 😐

Had the washing machine on bright and early, to take advantage of a day forecast to be windy and fairly warm. Everything was on the line by 9am, is flapping away merrily, and when I checked on it an hour ago, was almost fully dry. It's had a little bit of sun since then, so I'll probably get it in fairly soon.

Was up early and in Waitrose carpark by 7:50. Round the corner to Asda first, to get what I could. Then to Waitrose to finish off. It's a bit of a mix in terms of what fruit and veg is good from where. Asda is hopeless for peppers and tomatoes, and doesn't always have its banana section stocked, but everything else is fine. They also don't stock the ambient cranberry juice, which I get for my dodgy bladder, so I fill in the gaps at Waitrose.

Nothing much else happening here. Perhaps a chocolate bar and a sofa nap shortly!

I've got a friend coming round for a cup of tea and a catch-up this evening, so that should be nice.

We've had a very quiet Easter weekend so far. DH and I went out on Thursday night, so yesterday was just pootling about apart from food shopping.

Today we have been out to look for walking boots for my birthday next week. I did find some but they didn't have my size, so ordered on line.
2 loads of dark washing (one done, one on), Dh did the washing up and dishwasher.
Need to vacuum and dust once DS has finished washing Liverpool getting beaten by Man City.

Just had lunch and DH and I are going to book a few days away in July when DS is on holiday.
We need a new coffee machine and curry's have a big sale on so we may need to do that too.
We are also planning an Iceland trip in October or November so may research that a bit too (it's actually a very belated birthday gift for DH from his covid 50th)

DS is in tonight so one of his favs for tea. Maybe Vietnamese sticky pork 🤔

Complete chill. Arrived at center parcs yesterday till next friday, so few walks , and rest as next Saturday i have the She Ultra.
