FFS!

Just opened a mini eggs chocolate bar intending to have just one strip and 10 minutes later have eaten the whole fecking thing!! 😬

Honestly I have no bloody willpower sometimes.

This is the whole reason I don't normally buy these bars of chocolate because I cannot be trusted not to be a total greedy twat!!! 😂

At the moment the thing I’m not allowing myself in the house is dark chocolate-covered ginger biscuits from Tesco. If only I could eat one at a time - but I just can’t. A packet of approx eight biscuits is gone in two days.

OMG now I REALLY want one …

The Border ones? They're my absolute favourites and I can devour a whole packet in no time.

Yep! I also have mini egg problem 🥺 .. it used to be peanut butter on hot buttered toast … I no longer buy peanut butter but I love mini eggs …
thank god they’re rare as hens teeth and only around a few months a year 🤣

Ah, the snowballs at Xmas taste the same... just different marketing. Sorry if I'm going to start a snowballs prob!

8 biccies in two days? You're a lightweight.

2 mins in my house! (think cookie monster frenzy)

Me, it's easter eggs. Firm fav since childhood, easter hols and the eggs are my fav holiday and treat. Once opened they don't last. One year tesco were selling eggs off after Easter for 50p, large cadbury ones. I went home with several, proper happy moment in my life, ha!

About three times a year I buy a jar of Heinz sandwich spread, and scoff almost the whole lot within 48 hours, on bread, when I’m trying to limit carbs.

We used to call sandwich spread sick , as in vomit, as we thought it looked and smelled like vomit!

Does that help put you off?!

Allseeingallknowing · 27/03/2026 18:50

OP I love that mini egg choc too! I have to take 6 squares and leave the rest in the fridge or the lot would go!

Allseeingallknowing · 27/03/2026 18:51

Rokabe · 27/03/2026 17:55

Not with chocolate

but if I have fruit muesli and Greek yoghurt in the house…. I can devour an obscene amount hence I don’t buy!

At least that’s healthy!

Not in the amount I can put away! An entire 450g yoghurt pot with a LOAD of fruity muesli )thankfully no nuts!)

You’re either an amateur or a stealth boaster, can’t decide Wink

Mini eggs are like crack, but more expensive these days!

OMG they are soooooooo nice. I have never had one before, normally buy the bags and share with DH. But it was next to me and I thought I would open it and just take a few squares. DH is gonna be wondering where the hell its gone.😂

Kids have both left home too now so can't even shift the blame onto one of them.😂

I think the bar is even nicer than a pack of mini eggs.
I went to a coffee shop today planed to have a skinny latte. Ended up with a banoffee latte and a cheese scone!

Musicmummy63 · 27/03/2026 19:03

I once bought a box of Lindt chocolates for my friend for Christmas, wrapped it and put it under tree. It called to me, so I opened and ate it over a few days. Bought and wrapped another, did the same thing again! The third box finally made it to her. I can't have them on the house!!

Willpower is a myth.

The products are chemically engineered to be irresistible.

The only answer is not to buy them!

BoredZelda · 27/03/2026 19:07

This is known as a snaccident. Bourbon biscuits are my downfall with this.

snickersnackers · 27/03/2026 19:17

Oh dear OP, if that is what counts as twatty behaviour then I am the biggest twat on gods green earth.

kalokagathos · 27/03/2026 19:21

It’s most fully homemade cake for me - baked cheesecake or Scandi maple cinnamon pastries, wild horses would struggle to pull me away!

Does anyone remember the episode of Nigella when she made some sort of confectionery to take to her friends dinner party, then ate it all in the back of the taxi on the way to her friend's house?

CallingOnTheMegaphone · 27/03/2026 19:46

Not me! I love chocolate but I also just kind of forget about it. There's still a Lindt chocolate Santa in the cupboard. Even once it's open it'll take me a few days to get through it.

Vintageblueribbon · 27/03/2026 19:49

I hate mini eggs but Cadbury whole nut chocolate is my drug

I bought one of those massive bars (the almost a fiver one) and said to dp 'this should last until we next do the shopping' (we go to tesco every other friday)

I'd scoffed the lot within 8 hours

Ditto milkybar, lindt (the white or pink), green and blacks white/dark chocolate, walkers chilli crisps and creme eggs-i cannot have them in the house or I sit and eat the lot in one go

Im a greedy pig and I admit it

To be honest I am like that with most things. I don't obsess over anything and can normally be okay and not go mental. But for some reason mini eggs drive me insane and just torture me. 😂I thought getting the bar would be a nice treat then remembered I am normally a bit of a twat when it comes to chocolate blocks so getting a mini eggs chocolate block was only always going to go one way really.

Oh well, you live and you learn.

I can only eat chocolate with a cup of tea or coffee, so I have only eaten half of my delicious Ritter sport pistachio chocolate bar because my cup of tea ran out. So now I’m feeling all virtuous (who am I kidding, virtuous would have been one square), compared to OP, however there is another cup of tea in the pot calling to me and we all know the Ritter sport is not going to see another day 🤭🤣

Afraid not! I still have half a jar…

Amsylou · 27/03/2026 20:00

Cadbury’s crème eggs are my downfall… how many boxes (8 pack I should add) have a devoured of late? I have no self control
