Not least the therapist's outfits, start really strong with coffee coloured silk shirts then go a bit strange at the end with a horrible yellow thing
Also fascinated by how many of the girls are absolutely beautiful, but wear really strange outfits

Started watching it - thought it was terrible watched an episode and a half and though I’m not wasting my life on this. So much toxicity and it’s just influencer type people. Watch Couples Therapy that’s brilliant bbc player

Savonne · 08/03/2026 13:14

Well, I've watched that - all of it, but I love this too. I thought the same as you but found myself letting it click on and on.

Going to watch this tonight - liked Couples Therapy but also found the people inc. Orna slightly insufferable 😁 I fear the English version may be even more so but still I will get overinvested and binge it all ha.

In fact I’m gonna watch 20 mins now. And why is it called Blue Therapy? That’s annoyed me.

It's all people of colour which is interesting because you learn a bit about different cultures and some entrenched attitides to what a woman's role is !

Oo ok. Wonder if that was purposeful and why a white therapist then 🤔 if a lot of it is cultural. We’ll see!
Like the first couple so far and their matching pearl necklaces!

Savonne · 08/03/2026 14:44

They generally have really nice houses too.

(Way nicer than I had at that age!)

the guy with terrible blue dreads, is obsessed with what happened on his birthday like it's about six

I’ve binge watched it - I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would! Love Dami and Jermaine. Yasmin was far more understanding than I would have been in that situation! It’s much shallower than Couples Therapy but still interesting - I do find it fascinating what goes on in other people’s relationships

Savonne · 10/03/2026 07:04

Yes. That was very moving.

I wonder if those are their real houses or if they were location houses hired for the shoot? I know they do that a lot in tv

Savonne · 10/03/2026 09:16

Ah. They did seem very desirable

I really warmed to a lot of them, and was obsessed by the girls make-up, which was so beautiful

The couple I was the least supportive of was Shay, was that it? The gay couple.
She had no interest in staying in faithful and I don't know why the other girl was bothering

Couples Therapy on iPlayer is so much better!

Savonne · 10/03/2026 10:07

Yes. I've watched all of that though

The make up artist has been tagged in some of the couples' insta, as has the house it was filmed in! The men really don't come across well at all in this - wonder what some of these strong, beautiful women are doing with them tbh! I have sons and am determined to bring them up so they don't end up like these menchildren

Obeseandashamed · 10/03/2026 14:54

I binge watched this as needed something to take my mind off being unwell. It was fascinating getting a cultural insight but some parts felt very scripted/manufactured. Dami and Jermaine were by far my favourite couple.

Sidebeforeself · 10/03/2026 15:23

I’m pretty sure these werent their real houses ,and they’d all been heavily styled. The music was very unnecessary and the scenes with friends/relatives felt very Made in Chelsea.

Much preferred the Couples Therapy .That therapist was very cool and had a great wardrobe ( not important I know!)

I felt this therapist was very biased towards the women but that could have just been how it was edited.

Babsandherwabs · 10/03/2026 16:50

Definitely not their own houses or wardrobes! Or cars.

Episode 6 - Junior has his phone in his hand for the whole session! Come on man! No wonder she feels unseen.

Savonne · 10/03/2026 21:16

@isla2009 I do wonder if there's a cultural difference there between expectations of men

The Nigerian bowing and prostrating yourself before your elders was weird
that said, victory is never going to marry you. I can't understand why he kept saying he wasn't allowed to be who he was.

Therapist, I liked her clothes at the beginning that white suit (although not the sandals) with the coffee and cream coloured shirts were great
When she gets into black, she looks terrible
Also, those terrible tattoos on her wrist

What a terrible reality show. I stopped watching it after episode 3. And what a lot of toxic relationships. I also find many of the outfits they wear absolutely bizarre. And there’s so much complaining.
If you choose to become a housewife and stay home with your kids 24/7 while giving up your amazing career, then don’t complain about it afterwards. Choices have consequences. Or get a nanny, but stop complaining.
