Hidden camera found. What to do?

My daughter’s friend has just found a hidden camera attached to a power bank in her bedroom. She shares a house with others from uni. What should she do immediately? Trying to prevent mistakes so that they can find the fuc*er who planted it.

Reporting online can result in a rapid response. When my DS was spiked a couple of years ago school ( he was in sixth form) asked us to report it. I thought it was a little odd but it transpired that there was a growing problem in the small city we live in and the schools had been notified and asked to encourage any pupils affected to report.

You can write much more detailed description of events and it is directed to the appropriate officers who will contact you by phone.

I would do what Roper did when he discovered a listening device on his dog in the Night Manager. Just stay out of range of it until the police can retrieve it.
A friend discovered a tracking device on her car she assumed was put there by a stalking ex, Just left the car in the garage till the police retrieved it. Don’t alert the perp that it has been found.

A five second internet search will bring loads of links on to how to deal with this, YouTube is packed with people babbling about how to find hidden cameras etc. I would have thought student age kids would have been hip to all this stuff?

As soon as it is covered up and no visual the game is up anyway.
