😬

Kemi Badenoch tells the BBC's Matt Chorley that if she were prime minister, Donald Trump would simply not be like this.

https://bsky.app/profile/roberthutton.co.uk/post/3mcuaygzaus2e

Did she specify what "stuff" should be happening behind the scenes?

DuncinToffee · 20/01/2026 13:58

I don't think we want to know....

Maybe brand beckham can help out Wink

Have the defections hurt the Tories?

Of course things would be different with Trump if ahe was PM. There would be no threats.

She would be on her knees with the rest of the sycophants to the sex offender.

See how they've made him look like some kind of out of proportion, oversized orange ogre. Shame no-one has added images of small people standing their ground, like David and Goliath (going biblical).

Sorry for the multiple posts- lunch break, and who knows what will have happened by tea time.

The GIF above applies to this, too.

It's quite a Trussian level of self delusion.

That is known in strategy circle as "If not this then not that". And it isn't a term of approval.

There is a more colloquial version used by folk from the more Celtic or Gaelic fringes involving mas and das that would probably get this post deleted.

SerendipityJane · 20/01/2026 15:30

I wonder where the voice is for people who lost loved ones and body parts in the war the UK undertook at the request of the US in 2001 ?

Maybe it's time to see what they think ?

Obviously the whole UK paid a heavy price for it's support of the US then. But that's what allies do. I won't let it make me feel bitter.

BIossomtoes · 20/01/2026 15:35

Clearly Badenoch’s another one suffering from a messiah complex.

PandoraSocks · 20/01/2026 15:36

That "well-known Labour figure" Thomas Skinner has joined Reform. No, he isn't Labour and yes, I had to Google him too.

Farage has obviously spent the day trying to cajole someone into joining Reform, given the "well known Labour figure" has failed to transpire.

BIossomtoes · 20/01/2026 15:37

I thought he was already a member.

He is. A nasty piece of work, he should fit right in.

I don't know! X seems to think he has just joined and Farage has posted a very cringey photo of them together, which I will spare you.

Never was, just a deflection at the time.

Pity Badenoch isn't asked why is Trump like this to almost all other European, Canadian & South American leaders?

The reality is, Trump, being a racist, would utterly despise her.

BestIsWest · 20/01/2026 15:57

MAGA hat wearing Thomas Skinner? Not known for his leftie credentials.

Never heard of him but feel he’s more likely to have defected from the BNP or UKIP looking at search results / also not personally nice either.

Q: Can I bring you back to Greenland?

LUTNICK: No. It's not necessary. The Western Hemisphere is vital for the United States of America.

AFAIK , Skinner has never been a politician. I am not clear how he can defect.
