Misunderstood or misrepresented

How does one correctly present the idea of invading and/or stealing another sovereign country that doesn’t want it, ie Greenland?

Are you saying it's required for the USA to take over Greenland? In my world it seems utterly insane and totally unacceptable for a world leader of a democracy to be talking about how to acquire another democratic country. It's not in any way shape or form a normal or acceptable thing.
