One of my New Year’s resolutions is to eat every shape of pasta in 2026.

What’s your favourite shape?

Mine is rigatoni.

Same here - Rigatoni.
But I love Spiralli in a mac n cheese.
What a great NY res

I like a prawn pasta using tagliatelle. Make my own sauce using puree, chopped tomatoes, onions garlic and other spices and add soft cheese at the end to make it creamy.

penne

spaghetti alla chittara is a close second

Oh here’s a thread I can get behind.

I really enjoy Bucatini, not sure Incan go back to the spaghetti days.

I like a giant conchiglie too, as long as it’s well drained…

Not too adventurous but ALDI only have so many shapes.

hollyblueivy · 04/01/2026 18:17

Aldi do a fresh tagliatelle which is nice and Cooks in 4 minutes. The bag is huge though.

Mydogisagentleman · 04/01/2026 18:17

Rigatoni or spaghetti. Depends on the sauce

BarbarianBabs · 04/01/2026 18:18

Al of them 😃😃

Marmite27 · 04/01/2026 18:18

Fusilli, I use it for everything. Despite having spaghetti, linguine, rigatoni, penne and macaroni in the cupboard! N

Magicmushroomsauce · 04/01/2026 18:18

I love farfalle (the bows)

SnowDaysAndBadLays · 04/01/2026 18:18

I don't really have one, it depends what sauce I'm having with it.
I don't like farfalle though.

stravagante · 04/01/2026 18:19

The Christmas festive shapes. No idea what makes them so nice. But they are.

Notdanishsusan · 04/01/2026 18:19

Action man bow ties.

jen1jen1 · 04/01/2026 18:20

Rigatoni, but love a good home made cannelloni.

TheChosenTwo · 04/01/2026 18:20

Penne or linguine for long. Did once have an incredible pasta in Italy, it was like a really thick spaghetti. Found it in a shop to buy but was hand luggage only and had no spare space 😭 and now I can’t remember what it’s called, it’s not got a hole in the middle, it was solid and al dente and had the most amazing sauce. My god I still daydream about that pasta…

MayaPinion · 04/01/2026 18:20

I don’t like shells - too hard to get all the water out. I like a classic penne though if I’m having bolognese only spaghetti will do.

Action man bow ties.

MayaPinion · 04/01/2026 18:21

I don’t like bow ties either - soggy at the ends and still hard in the middle. Also, they’re flat so it doesn’t look like there’s much on the plate.

Dearg · 04/01/2026 18:22

Caesarecce for short pasta, Buccatini for long.

Yes, that's what I don't like about them too.

CurlewKate · 04/01/2026 18:27

Linguini.

I do tagliatelle with bol, but spaghetti with meatballs.

retun · 04/01/2026 18:28

Gemelli

Beardedmushrooms · 04/01/2026 18:30

I was coming on to say rigatoni, but once I googled it, bucatini looks like the winner.

Iceisnice · 04/01/2026 18:31

Rigatoni is my favourite, i really wish i could get 3kg bags of them as we get through so many, I don't like the bows - they don't look substantial and I tend to cook too many and then overeat them 😂

dailyconniptions · 04/01/2026 18:32

Linguine and farfalle.
