In 2025 I…
Got divorced
sorted out my health issues
bought a house
got a promotion
passed my driving test (finally)
bought a new car
increased my pension contributions
travelled to a few bucket list locations

Next year I would like to…
start a masters (hopefully through a highly subsidised program!)
Top up My savings.
take my dc on an adventure trip to remember forever.

what are your goals for 2026? Big or small ❤️

Wake up earlier and seize the day by doing something for me before work.

Paint the conservatory, including the plastic windows.

Paint all the doors and door frames.

Clear my overdraft.

Walk more, I used to walk 4 miles every morning before work and stopped, so anything will be good.

Keep being more boundaried. Had years of being treated like a child by DM & DMIL and disrespected by DSisters.

Eat more healthy food and lose weight.

Have more date nights with DH, even if it's just at home.

Put more effort into my dressing. Had kind of given up as I'm not the weight I'd like to be.
I have beautiful clothes that no longer fit but keep buying 'this will do for now' cheap clothes with the idea of getting back to my old size.

Pass two exams.

Be more present and spend less time on social media. Have already cut out FB, Insta and the Daily mail. Now have to cut out Ticktock.

We have a busy year…
I’m selling my BTL
Selling the house and moving closer to my partners work
Completing on his house
Planning our wedding for next year!

On top of that!
I’m going to carry on losing weight, 4kg down 4kg to go
Fix my body so I can run again and get back to strength training
Read more - doom scroll less
More self development
More professional development to ensure I can continue freelancing - last year was difficult
Get a financial plan in place for retirement, mortgage, debt, will etc

I think that’ll do for the moment!

Get my ADHD diagnosis. I know I have it, I want it official.
Take some time off work for me. Figure out what I want to do with the last part of my life
Get my home sorted, I need a new bathroom

ForTheForseeable · 03/01/2026 14:09

Continue with therapy
Learn to like myself and be kinder to myself
Cook one new meal every two weeks
Carry on with the 5:2 diet after Christmas break.

MirandaWest · 03/01/2026 14:43

Always have a bag for life in the car with me so I don’t end up buying extra bags when I don’t need to.
Weigh less at the end of the year than at the beginning
Be able to comfortably run 5k without walking breaks.

amoosebouche · 03/01/2026 15:22

Grow my business
Enter a couple of 10k runs
Master pull ups
Maintain my weight and muscle
Stay consistent with savings, pension contributions and general budgeting
Go on a family summer holiday
Go on a European city break
Do some small maintenance jobs around the house
See old friends for quality catch ups (overnight stays)
Read 12 books
See new films at local cheap independent cinema
Less scroll time
Sort out dental and sinus issues
Asleep by midnight
Be more authentically me in company (late diagnosed autistic)
Never buy from Amazon, Starbucks

Good luck everyone who's goal is to pass your driving test this year!
This was my NY resolution every year and I finally passed this year aged 47.

This year I want to take care of myself better and be more healthy. Starting with getting to bed at a decent time!

ByDreamyLimeLurker · 03/01/2026 15:42

I just want to just be myself again. Id love to start feeling beautiful again as right now I really dont feel that way about myself

WanderlustMom · 03/01/2026 19:23

This year I hope to ..
• Give birth to a healthy baby girl and hopefully manage postpartum a little bit better than I did with my son
• Pass my driving test in May
• Start taking care of my health a lot more and hopefully reach my goal weight
• Make some new friends - don’t have many at all and starting to feel very lonely now
• Less screen-time

Londonbabyland · 04/01/2026 11:21

I started a Kickstarter Project (special edition book about London produced by book artisans affected by missile strike in Ukraine last year) so it's a goal.

Sunshineandswimming · 04/01/2026 11:52

Weight loss & to find an exercise that I like doing & can stick to.
Sort out our finances & try to get DH on board too.

I want to increase my pension contributions, re-decorate my bedroom and take a pottery class. Hopefully they're all achievable! 🤞

Look into salary sacrifice for pension - can be a canny way to build up your pot.

BookWorm7 · 05/01/2026 16:10

In 2025
I got divorced
Bought a home for me and my kids
Travelled solo with a group to a country I'd always wanted to go
Started retraining and completed my level 2 in counselling

In 2026
I am travelling to another country on my list
Filling my garden with flowers and plants so I have lots of colour
Continuing my training with level 3
Decluttering as I have far too many 'things'
Starting to sew again

Flowersforyourchocolateprettyplease · 11/01/2026 14:01

A small one, not look at my phone whilst eating.
Had got into the habit of chopping my food up in advance so I could have a forl in one had and phone in the other.

Also, no phones in bed.

Sunshineandswimming · 11/01/2026 15:26

@BookWorm7 please may I ask you about the L2 counselling course? I've just signed up to do one in the evenings and I work full-time. I'm excited to start it. Did you enjoy it & have you found it useful? Was it lots of work away from the actual taught hours?

Are you planning to work in this field when you've completed the training?
