I have 2. First is my coffee machine. It grinds the beans, so I can have a freshly brewed coffee each morning. I love it!
Second one is a prize from postcode lottery. It's a rechargeable hot water bottle, and it's been a game changer! Especially useful for when I'm cold watching DS play rugby....

Mine my bean to cup coffee machine - I took a gamble and got it for £90 second hand off Facebook - I made the guy use it to show it worked before I handed my money over! I wasn’t sure I’d like it more than my pour over - but every morning I have such satisfaction in a perfect for me cup of coffee, absolute thing that brings me daily joy.
I also love my ninja kettle as it’s quick and adjustable temp for when I want hot not boiling, even the little noise is good as I hear it chime it’s boiled if I’ve gotten distracted!
other bits
a cover less 2tog duvet for the hot summer - I have to have something even when sweltering!
mugs - I’m obsessed but coffee out of the right mug makes it even better!
my sho tumbler xx - drinking with a straw I drink much more.
my pair of red m&s trainers- I’ve wanted red trainers for years and they make me feel happy every time I wear them.
board game arena subscription and weekends away at board game conventions- just doing something I enjoy for no reason other than fun .

@Stuckinarut79

@NCTDNi’m a huge fan of cyberjammies PJs too. I had about 10 pairs of PJs, one of which was cyberjammies which had been a gift. Ever since I have had them, I would wear them, wear one of the other 9 or so pairs whilst they were in the wash, wear the cyberjammies, wear a different one of the other 9 or so pairs whilst they were in the wash, wear the cyberjammies again etc. It only occurred to me in the autumn that it might make more sense to actually find out how much these cyberjammies PJs were, where I could buy them etc. They had a sale on & I bought two pairs. They are all I have worn since and I have now thrown out all of my other PJs. I have gone for the jersey top with wide leg cotton bottoms which is the same combination as my original pair but everything is sold individually so you can mix & match.

NCTDN · 03/01/2026 22:17

I love the stretchy jersey so ordered two of that style Grin

NCTDN · 03/01/2026 22:18

@HouseWithASeaView I’ve gone for a size bigger than my normal size for extra sexiness so hope that’s not a mistake !

2000 tiny yellow plastic ducks for a fiver. I hid 250 over the office on my last day at work, including in the ornamental plants in the Communal reception, the male and female loos and in the lift. My neighbour went on holiday just before Christmas and I had keys so I could go in to arrange the Elf on the Shelf ready for their return and I hid about 50 round their house too. Best mischief I've ever had, all for £4.99!! I'm going to be hiding them for YEARS.

Is this some Temu shit? Seriously, what is wrong with you?

Omg I definitely mean stretchiness!! Sexiness and the pyjamas I tend to wear most definitely don’t go together Smile the aim of the game is certainly comfort!

tipsyraven · 03/01/2026 21:36

That’s 2000 bits of plastic with no purpose that won’t degrade for up to 500 years.

And a choking hazard if any young children happened to come across them. It also seems to be a thing on cruise ships hiding plastic ducks around the place and does seem totally brainless.

Ok 2.5 tog - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silentnight-Summer-Breeze-Coverless-Duvet/dp/B0D6S1FNJP/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=3VF08Z0AW73ZQ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.cCvWp2P_TJ7D4Lt9kp8l-NE4V3s0I31ok77SvVJsnHZkC-Z-7--x4cadgYYX_IUEBiewOAe42yIiLCQxlyTt6NpCN4fGcVHYEHRMRupr63a-ATjmMBCcwpGcGyWuslmfeWJ3yGY-Z5vyJ5vXIhl0KxhWOk6QDcgY9yEvSG93p7eq6iJAC6JqDBvRN9QcQobeeGSjYwnPBjW2rOmCPmdlRA.KRMv9QYAC1nEqq08z4nWABZxWZJM9y00-TVaN9hpIzw&dib_tag=se&keywords=silent+night+coverless+duvet&qid=1767479947&sprefix=silent+night+co%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-1-spons&aref=hyzL7uNVos&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1 but it’s very thin, like a quilt rather than a duvet, I sleep with a 4tog in winter as I hate being too warm, but need something and a sheet doesn’t cut it!

A jumper de-bobbler. All my old jumpers look like new.

Please could you share the details of your de-bobbler? Ty

@gillefc82 ooo, I've never heard of that one but a quick look shoes they have great reviews so I'm very interested.
My hair does hold a curl, I just can't do it!

I have coarse hair that's relatively short - just touches my shoulders.
Is it easy to use? Looking at their website it looks like the non- pro one is suggested for short hair.... I'm very tempted!

Dip powder nail kit - have nice nails most of the time now unless between sets, have always been crap at doing my own and too cheap to go to a salon.

My hair is down to my armpits and I typically keep it this length or a little longer so the pro plus was worth the extra for me for the longer barrel but if you have shorter hair most reviewers who have tried or own both recommend saving a bit of money and going with the normal one. Would 100% recommend it!

Monderma's tretinoin has been lovely.
Topically it’s reduced my fine lines by about half.

Technically not my purchase as was my Christmas gift from DH, but mine would be my Tymo Curl Pro plus.

I’ve always wanted to have the option of curling my hair for the odd special occasion or night out but my fine hair usually refuses to hold a curl for more than 10 minutes, regardless of how much mousse and hairspray I douse it in, plus I have a complete lack of skill at hair styling. I’ve bought loads of other hair tools over the years. All were supposed to give amazing results but for me turned out to be total (and rather expensive) failures - think Dyson airwrap, GHD straighteners for curling, Drybar hot brush etc.

As I was struggling for any other ideas to give my DH for my Christmas present and having seen so many ads and sponsored reviews for it across various social media platforms, I decided to take the plunge and it’s honestly amazing! So easy to use, takes me no time at all to curl my whole head and with just a bit of mousse for volume and some strong hairspray, my hair is left shiny and healthy looking and the curls lasted me all night on NYE, even with me gently breaking them up with my fingers once they’d cooled to make them less ringletty (sorry, I know that’s not a word).

I’d recommend it to anyone who has problems with hair curling and wants an easy to use device that actually works. Just be aware the device comes with an EU plug (or at least mine did!) so you’ll need to buy a cheap EU to UK adapter plug before you can use it.

i bought one for myself a few weeks ago and it’s brilliant! I’ve never been able to curl
my hair and this makes it so easy! I’ve bought every curler available and this one is the only one that works!

That's excellent news. You'll have a better idea of what you're dealing with if it's skeletal.

I am assuming you are waiting for hip replacement surgery. Can I ask what your symptoms are and how long you’ve had them? I’ve got pain in both hips but the worst pain is from the less severely affected hip on recent x rays which doesn’t really make sense to me. I’m now being referred for physio and was advised that they won’t offer a hip replacement as I’m too young, At the age of 58 that was nice to hear but I’m not convinced!

Period underwear, so comfy and don't even remember I am on my period anymore during the day. No leaks. A meaco dehumidifier, dries laundry overnight in the winter

I'm a huge period pants fan but funnily enough struggle to dry them in the winter! May I ask which Meaco dehumidifier you have please?

Mydoghealsmyheart · 03/01/2026 23:15

My Chelsea Peers fleece dressing gown in the sale. It’s so soft and comfortable. And having 30% off just adds to the enjoyment.

Glasses that record sound and video.

My Dad has dementia and is becoming progressively worse. I want to capture as much footage of him as I can and try to capture him telling me he loves me.

Today, I managed to capture him calling me sweetheart. I want to record those phrases and put the recording in a teddy bear or a cushion with his face on so I can cuddle him and hear him talk to me when he's no longer here..

gillefc82 · 03/01/2026 23:31

@Kaybee50 totally agree! I’ve had years of wonky curls that always came out better on one side of my head than the other and had to accept that even after spending over an hour trying my best, whilst the curls might look decent when freshly styled, within the hour I’d be guaranteed to be left looking like I’d chosen to come out with bed head hair that I’d not even bothered to run a brush through!

It’s been a complete game changer for me and I’ve already persuaded my Mum to get one! Glad you love yours too!
