I was explaining to my adult DD that I was once called a Jezebel by a group of giggling girls. No idea why, I’m not alluring or sexually provocative in any way. Strangely, I felt quite defensive, like I want to snort ‘no I am not’.

Someone also said I was two faced which I thought was ironic as I’m usually told I’m too blunt and honest.

The worst thing I was ever called was a retard by an ex, he said if regularly as a put down to make me feel stupid during an argument. Much worse than all the swear words that I was called. Also a fat bitch by my mum at 13, I was far from fat but had put on a bit of weight, it’s stuck with me ever since.

A fat, ugly, waste of life and a womb, who's own parents even hate them and who should do everyone a favour and go lie on the train tracks (we lived right next to a train track).

A week after I had my second miscarriage and was basically bed bound. He also attacked me with the metal hoover pole, smashed up my phone and a vase that I was left by a late relative and tried to cut me with it at the same time. My crime was that I had extended my fit note as I felt unable to go back to work yet. It was Christmas day too.

I was no contact with my family at the time so his words cut deep because he'd isolated me so much i had cut everyone off and I didn't realize it at the time. A neighbour called the police and he was arrested but i was too weak to keep him out. I stayed with him a few more months (while he repeatedly cheated on me) until he almost killed me and I got a restraining order. Every now and then I still think about what he said ,I'm 35 now and still no kids. He's married with 2 kids and seems pretty happy tbh.
