I always start this thread on Christmas Eve.
Helps me to take a deep breath and just be for a second.
I'll raise a 🥃 to my dad. It's been too many christmases but I still wish I'd known you better before dementia stole you x

Raising one for my lovely dad who died at Christmas 2017, still feels like yesterday. Miss him like mad every single day but especially at Christmas. He was the most amazing person, a true one of a kind. Love you dad 🩷

A big cup of tea for my mum.

I raise a glass for my mum who we lost in 2011. A wee Famous Grouse and lemonade was always her favourite tipple at Christmas 🥃

Can I raise a toast to my little doggie, who died five years ago, and always loved Christmas?

Raising a lass to both my parents who died in 2020 and always made Christmas day special. I miss you both so much but it is especially hard this year as I turn 60 today and I wish they were here to celebrate with me.

Jellycatspyjamas · 25/12/2025 09:54

To my dear friend who died very unexpectedly last month, she absolutely loved Christmas 🎄
