Anyone heading to the supermarket at silly o'clock?

This was my original plan but luckily I had a moment of clarity yesterday, after a doctor's appointment (as I was in the locality anyway), I did all the shopping then. It was relatively quiet at 3pm!

Yup. We've all been struck down with whatever bugs are going around. Today is the first day I'm feeling human so out to get some supplies!

Yes, on my way into work- fifth day in a row being in at this time. I think my kids have forgotten I live here, they think I’m a visitor that pops in at 7 in the evening, falls asleep nearly crying by ten, then is gone again.

I just got a notification about how many substitutions there are in my food delivery so yes I will.

My click and collect is t 9am.
I'm hoping to get my subs list before then so I know whether I have to go insane I mean inside

Went to the local M&S Food attached to a petrol station and they got everything for a full on Christmas dinner in stock. Very impressed, I was going to hit the shops later but instead got everything there. Self service, no queues. Over and done with in record time.

Yesterday the supermarket in the next largest town was so quiet at 8am.
There were more staff than customers!

I'm sure that won't be the case today though.

I hope everyone can get what they want and need.

I went yesterday at 6.30. I’ve always done this but over the years I’ve noticed it getting busier at this time whereas it used to be quiet.
The number of people was similar to peak Saturday morning, but felt busier due to everyone being in the same aisles looking for the same stuff.

Yes because Ocado didn’t deliver my nut roast yesterday for my niece and a scan of supermarkets last night revealed a national shortage….😬😂

Getting up in 10 mins to try again in the hope of overnight deliveries…

Otherwise I’m buying a bag of mixed nuts….

Need to walk the dog but then I’ll pop down….and then go back at lunchtime with DSis - we’re having Christmas at hers but I want to get a few odds and sods for my place, it’s only tomorrow we won’t be here.

I’ve been away so going as soon as I’ve had coffee. Need to do a pretty full shop!

I’ve decided at the last minute to have salmon tonight so I’ll send dh to pick some up. We are in walking distance of a major supermarket and he likes to stretch his legs.

Yes just had the receipt through for my massive online shop due to be delivered soon, only 3 x subs which is pretty good I think. 2 I can manage without l, but will pop to the Co-op up the road for the third that I really do need.

Was outside Tesco at 5:59, was walking in my front door at 6:30 with everything I wanted. The cobs were still warm even. Not the way I normally do Christmas but the past few weeks have been quite difficult which has left a knock on effect of not planning things out. It was no more crowded than a typical early morning so I think I did okay.

Got our big Asda shop delivered yesterday morning. 90 items, they had 88 and gave us better subs for the other two. Nice long dates on everything too. Kudos to Asda! Merry Christmas everyone, hope you all have a wonderful time and a successful shopping trip/delivery!

Big shop delivered yesterday but I forgot Yule log and lynx for today 🙈. Might venture out for those. Or perhaps not

I've just remembered I have a JL click and collect from waitrose to pick up... Will try and pick a quiet time 😬

I am meant to be running errands, but the evidence suggests I am still in bed.

Went at 5.30 last night after work, I was sceptical as I’d walked through it at lunchtime and it was insane, DH said it would be fine. And it was apart from no happy chickens and no more stock coming in. We’d wanted 2 chickens and a ham instead of turkey…. So I had to go to the awful Tescos where the parking is shit, and got one happy chicken and a small turkey. But it’s all done.

I'm still waiting for my c&c, not sure il bother again.

I'm just lazing around at the minute, waiting for the notification that my C&C order is in the store.
I might walk into town but @chalkyc2 says it's cold out there!
It's bright and sunny but I can hear the wind picking up.

I was at the supermarket by 7.15am, had to go to another supermarket for the bits they didn't have and was home with shopping packed away by 9am! Got guests tonight so I'm starting the big clean soon...
