13 year old watch stranger things ? Would you allow ?

11yo ds started it and is now 14 and very excited for the last episodes. He’s watched the whole lot with dh and his older sisters and has loved it.
I’ve never seen it but trust that if dh thought it inappropriate for him they’d not have watched anymore.

I'm a total horror lightweight and our kids were softies when they were little, but honestly it wouldn't even cross my mind to stop a 13 YO watching ST.

I didn't think it would be my bag, but the first season is utterly awesome, proper bottled lightning. Incredible storytelling and very strong performances. The later seasons are good too, but sillier.

Yes, my 13yo watches. She was too young for previous series but we watched them all together before the new season started.

Yes I (re)watched the entire series with my 13 yo this summer plus the latest series. He can’t wait for the rest on Xmas day.
i thought he might have an issue with season 4 but he was totally ok with it. Including the ‘Freddy Kruger’ moment in the last episode of season 5.

My 13 year old has just started watching it. She used to be quite sensitive about scary films but now she’s been to a few teenage sleepovers with horror films she seems to be coping a lot better. To be honest the first few series aren’t that bad, it’s only series 4 that starts to be more horror orientated (that freaked me out a bit but not enough to stop watching 😂)

Hmmm depends on the child. If she doesn’t like gremlins is a strong no!

I won’t watch it as I find it too scary. I tried and gave up, I don’t want to spend hours of my life on edge and hiding behind my cushion 😂 My 11yr old niece watches it and doesn’t find it scary.
