Velvetiser - do you use yours?

had ads popping up for velvetisers and they looks great! Never used one but they seem to be simple enough.

Salter one is on offer for £30 at the moment - worth getting it for Xmas week as all the kids will be home so sure it’ll be well used for this week at least!

any feedback or any other recommendations for a cheap is one pls?

I have this one. Heats milk and froths it to varying degrees. Also does cold frothy milk

My daughter has the HC one and uses it every day

I use mine loads. Sometimes for hot chocolate but mostly I put matcha powder in with milk and it makes a perfect matcha latte.

I warm the milk before I put it in or give a quick whizz in the microwave after. I use mine for coffee and hot chocolate

I've had mine 7 years. It's wonderful. It's the easiest way to heat and froth milk to make a quick crappy Azera instant coffee into a nice latte before I take DS to football. I love the HC latte sachets and Whittards powder turns out really nicely. In fact we have used it so much the non-stick has started to come off and we've got the new version as a joint present for Christmas this year.

Edit - if it's not hot enough just press it again!

It was a gift to us - I’m more of a pan on the stovetop kind of person and don’t normally get gadgets, however the velvetiser does make a nice hot chocolate. Agree with others that it could be hotter, but other than that it’s lovely. Very easy to use and clean.

I would say I only use it a few times a year though but that’s just because I don’t have much hot chocolate. It does make me more likely to have a rum or whisky hot chocolate at Christmas (which I’m anticipating with pleasure in the next few days).

Edited to add: The Hotel Chocolat sachets are expensive but you can use any hot chocolate in it (or other things too). Great tip from the person above who said make it hotter by pressing it again!

I have hotel chocolat one - 3 years now and use it 3 or 4 times a week.

It gets used for hot milk as well, I like hot milk on my cereal - put it on while I get in the shower, then it is warm and waiting for breakfast...

I've had a Hotel Chocolate Velvetiser since they came out. When it breaks, I will be replacing it.

There are lots of options now though so I dont know if there are better options now.
