What’s the best ever Strictly show dance ?

Just catching up on last night and it’s make me think about show dances from the past.
I know there was a lot of dislike for Tom Chambers because he could already dance, but his show dance stands out for me because it was a little bit different.
What do you think was the best show dance from over the years?

Surely you can appreciate that the title of Show Dance is given to a specific dance on the show. Surely?!

I actually loved Debbie McGee and Gio's show dance. Very balletic - she was such an incredible dancer.

I also remember Louis Smith and Flavia's show dance - I think someone has mentioned this upthread too. It was to Rule the World and he did gymnastics on top of a spherical world at the start. It was fab!

Oh lord, the poor girl. She was gorgeous and a fantastic dancer but Brendan put moves in the showdance that were beyond her and it looked AWFUL 🤦🏻‍♂️

Also weird outfit.

I think Tom Chambers show dance was so memorable because it was the first time something different had been tried. Camilla’s outfit stood out and you knew immediately it was special.

Jay and Aliona’s jive was week two or three, but is widely regarded as the best jive. Not just the footwork, but the whole atmosphere of it.

I thought George’s show dance was the most meaningful and the best performed. The others were underwhelming.

I can't bring myself to watch that video. Even though I watched it, I don't remember the dance but I remember it being terrible. If that makes sense.

Caroline Flack for me, just breathtaking, so emotional. I'd been out on the Saturday night and missed the final but stayed offline so I could watch it on Sunday morning and remember being up early while it was still dark and snuggling up on the sofa with a cup of tea to watch it while everyone else was still asleep, just magic.

The show dances I’ve enjoyed most are:

Tasha and Aljaz last year - probably my favourite ever show dance.
Ellie and Vito’s one to a J-Lo megamix - she messed up the final lift but it was still a brilliant dance.
John and Johannes to You Got The Love - it was so joyous.
Ashley and Pasha - brilliant dancing on that revolving platform.
Joe and Katya’s Cinderella themed dance - I loved Katya’s costume changes.
Danny and Oti because everything they did was incredible.
Kellie and Kevin’s lindyhop dance - I liked that they did something a bit different.
Caroline and Pasha - so moving
Kimberley and Pasha - love a bit of Beyonce!
Louis and Flavia - loved the gymnastics.

I had to stop watching that was excruciating!

To me a show dance is a dance suitable for a show. Can't be arsed with bespoke lingo

I’ve just rewatched Tom and Camilla’s. I think it’s the combination of the music and all the different styles they incorporated into one dance that made it so clever.

Danny Mac and Otis my fave so far from the ones you’ve all listed. I don’t think anyone this year was up to his standard as much as I liked George. (Possibly Lewis but obv he didn’t make the final).
