What’s the best ever Strictly show dance ?

Just catching up on last night and it’s make me think about show dances from the past.
I know there was a lot of dislike for Tom Chambers because he could already dance, but his show dance stands out for me because it was a little bit different.
What do you think was the best show dance from over the years?

I think complicated lifts and breathtaking throws can look impressive, but I just don't think it's dancing. Alexis tended to do that a lot with George. Ditto Lewis and the flips and one hand cartwheels.

Tom Chambers for me. I actually can't remember any other show dances but I'm off to Google...

i was so disappoint in Karen’s showdance last night. To me and dd it was nothing to do with strictly at all, just “I did street dance”

No, it's called a Show Dance and it's specifically for the final. The couple use it to showcase their skills or "journey".
Some of them have been amazing over the years. However, as the OP says, they were very disappointing this year.

I couldnt tell you the difference, I just watch the dancing, I dont really lsiten to the names of whats happening or what they're called. They danced a lot last night thats all I remember

Aljaz and Tasha's show dance last year was brilliant. I think she knew it was a foregone conclusion that Chris would win so just threw herself into it and had fun with the performance. It felt like a scene from a classic film.

It was a CC, not a show dance, but Helen Skelton and Gorka’s dance to Mein Herr was amazing.

Came on to say this! Haven’t watched it recently but this one has always stuck in my mind as being goose-bump-inducing. Not sure if it was a show dance and don’t care, lol.

I really liked George’s show dance yesterday. I agree with judges it had concept, idea and feelings.
I wasn’t impressed by Amber’s show dance and even less by Karen’s.
I remember Pasha and Ashley show dance - it was very impressive, was going to rewatch it.

By the way it is a bit annoying that OP put a question about show dances specifically and people are answering about all sorts of dances. Pay attention guys.

I agree with you about Tom Chambers' dance - I think it stood out particularly because there was a coherent story to it, and I wish more professionals would learn from that.

The only others that stick in my memory are Oti and Kelvin, and Oti and Bill. Last night's were pretty lacklustre, though Karen's wasn't too bad. Amber's couple's choice was a lot better.

Rose and Giovannis dance was so beautiful it made me cry

Marked difference in showdance quality lately.

I remember after Oti and Danny Mac's passionate showdance Marian Keyes tweeted " Are they riding? They have to be riding!". 😂
That's a showdance, not the wishy washy crying buckets fare we have been getting recently.

Actually, having just reminded myself of Alijaz and Sasha's show dance, I'm happy to add that to the list, it was brilliant. Also Gio and Faye.

I honestly barely remember them but I thought Chris and Diane's was beautiful.

Despite watching every single series & episode of Strictly it's the only show dance that I have any memory of (well except Colin Jackson's but we don't talk about that 🤐).

I thought I'd read the title wrong to start with, had to go back and check.
Maybe the OP should've put the word SHOW in capitals and people would still have ignored it.
