Easy veggie starter Christmas?

Any ideas for a light, make ahead or quick starter? Not soup. If it could be adapted for meat eaters, bonus points!

We usually have arancini , easy to chuck in the oven or air fryer for a few mins to warm up

Bacon and Brie bites

Cheese and a pickle onion on a cocktail stick (bit retro)

Palma ham and mozzarella

Pate on baguette

Baked camembert

A bit retro but melon is a nice, light easy starter.

Stuffed mushrooms can add bacon for meat eaters

What about Greek Feta & Mint Filo parcels (spanakopita) served with homemade tzatziki?

Could be prepared beforehand?

I do filo and goats cheese parcels with onion chutney and rocket

• Goats cheese and caramelised onion tartlet
• Bang bang cauliflower and a nice dip
• Bruschetta
• Baked feta and rice stuffed peppers
• Veggie samosas and a nice dip

We’re all having lobster tails but DS2 is having dough balls with garlic butter

They look nice, although weirdly I struggle to cook leeks properly. Perhaps they would be better overcooked in this than my usual crunchy version!

Goats cheese, beetroot, walnut, rocket with a drizzle of olivie, oil, honey and balsamic - delicious and light and leaves plenty of room for more courses

3/4 of those are meat…

Yeah I understand that, however it was the section that said could be adapted for meat eaters that I was referring to.

Those famously vegetarian ingredients, bacon, parma ham and pate.

The vital question is, what's the main course? No point suggesting starters that won't go with it, or will.duplicate it.
