It's advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so every day between now and Christmas I'll be bringing you some scenes of what they are getting up to during advent.

Today Marta is helping Matthias put up the Christmas decorations. She puts the last bauble on the tree.

Fritz and Jonas come out to join the girls.

They are having lots of fun.

Meanwhile Heike is out on her snow tube.

Her sister in law Marlene joins her on the slopes.

They glide down the hill together.

Oops there has been a collision!

Marlene has fallen off, but fortunately hasn't hurt herself. Everyone has had a great day playing in the snow!

At least their landing is soft on the snow 😁

Oh the little mice and badgers! They are adorable.

Love the raccoon! I am reminded of that extraordinary scene in 101 Dalmatians where a raccoon mysteriously makes an appearance in the middle of the English countryside. Lovely to know there is such varied range of wildlife living in close harmony in Playmoland.

Just catching up on the last few days. I love the snow tubes and the raccoons. I've never seen a raccoon. A very wide range of wild creatures in Playmoland.

Thank you all! I've had a busy day, making brandy butter and pistachio sablés this morning, and this afternoon ds took me out to the coast for a walk and then we had a drink in a pub with a view of the docks (which we love). Ds is out this evening, meeting up with more friends, so I'll have a quiet evening.

They walk around a large park or gardens where there is a Christmas lights display .

Ah, I think that's similar to what we have in our town, but it's called a light trail. I don't really have any free standing Playmo lights to use for that, only the illuminated trees I already used for the tree festival!

Is tomorrow a long queue at the post office for last posting day before Christmas?
