It's advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so every day between now and Christmas I'll be bringing you some scenes of what they are getting up to during advent.

Today Marta is helping Matthias put up the Christmas decorations. She puts the last bauble on the tree.

Thanks @tumbletoast yes, I have various planners and a database to keep track of the Playmo people. It does take hours to create, but is very satisfying!

I check in every morning because it's my own personal advent gift to myself before I engage with the day.

I'm sure there are many like me who check in but have nothing clever to add.

I've used the same refillable advent calendar for my children for 15 years. This is my gift to myself

@HeadyLamarr it's so lovely though when people do comment, even if they think they have nothing to add (they usually do though). If nothing else it bumps the thread, so more people have the opportunity to view it!

I don’t want to out anyone’s NC or anything like that, but just checking PetalPower is OK as she’s usually on these threads (and your RL friend I think?) It just feels weird not to see her! I am easily confused atm so sorry if I’ve missed something!

Okay, how in the name of Playmo Gods did I miss her name on here?! I am struggling with recognising/distinguishing beween Ps and Ds atm so maybe it was that? Definitely easily confused! Sorry @petalpower , as you were! (What a shame we can’t name change on threads anymore )

Just popping on to say thank you, somuchtobits for your brilliant work. I have seen your Olympics thread in the past which was genius. I am now working through the pandemic ones - such fun. The puddingheads! I have just got to the much anticipated alligator appearance!

But I need to save those for later and enjoy this one (normally at a more reasonable time - for some reason can't sleep tonight) Thank you!

This year there is a Christmas tree festival at St Jonathan's Church. The Dean of Lowbeach (The Very Reverend Anselm Latimer) is getting ready to welcome people in. Each tree has been sponsored and decorated by a different group or organisation.

This tree has been done by the Lowbeach branch of the RPRS (Royal Playmoland Rescue Service).

This one is from the Little Bears Preschool.

The Waterbury Singers have provided this tree.

This is the Lowbeach Police tree.

This tree has been organised by the Sea View Day Centre for the elderly.

The children from Eastgate Primary School have decorated this tree.

This one is St Jonathan's own tree, which will remain here after the festival has finished.

And this tree is from the Friends of Eastgate Park.

It's time to switch the lights on!
